Any idea how long it's going to be till you get them fitted? If you have them in at the Shark day, I'll probs want to have a look at them and see what they're like.

Not sure, I'm ringing HIDS Direct tomorrow to try and get a D2s HID kit. If that goes to plan then within a few days I hope!

I'll be sure to post lots of photos anyway.

Nice one

looking forward to replys also

Let us know what hid kit you get Luke.

Haven't received mine yet hoping tmoz or Friday.

Think the bloke in the shop will be shocked how many he's shifting. He could easily get more for them but shh...

I'm buying some as soon as I see it done.

I'm watching this space :-)

Rite. Finding it hard to choose a hid kit.

Who do I buy from? Hids-direct? Carmodshop? Hids4u?

35w? 50w?

5000k 6000k

Confused.com

Don't want to pay loads either. £70 tops

4300k would be my choice any day if you want the most light on the road.

I would go for the 35w kit, not had experience of the 50w kits, but would imagine they run hotter and thus wouldn't last as long. The 35w kits certainly don't lack in the amount of light they produce!

Can't help you on where to buy, but I will be going back to where I purchased mine from last (CMS)

Just bought a pair too lol

Right so hers the deal, the dipped/main beam for these will require the d2s/d2r kits and the high/full beam will now use the h7 bulb is that correct. Or will these come in the standard format of the original lamps with h7 being the main beam and h1 being the high beam as it says in the product description that they are a direct replacement. That may refer to fitment rather than bulbs. I think I will wait for mine to arRive before I splash out more cash or until the others arrive and confirm the bulbs required :) otherwise I'll be buying the d2r kit off carmodshop as Ive never had anything but excellent service from them and drop my h7 kit into my high beams :)

Ad personally get 8000k If you can, out not get 6000k

8000K would be way too blue IMO. I had 6000K in my old Leon, and they were white, just on the edge of turning blue. Looked OK, but there was less light. If I was doing it again then I'd use 4300 or 5000K tops, more OEM looking so stand out less, and better light output. I wasn't going to do it on the Fabia due to the new MOT rules, but they don't look as strict as I thought they were so I might put some in again.

edit - about the only decent pic I have of my old lights. My mate's MX5 with standard halogens on the left, my Leon on the right with standard fogs (never changed those as I never used them) https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/189976_10150133016107232_511292231_6475000_267751_n.jpg

Think I'll go for 5000k nice white light. Don't want it to look chavy like the corsa's driving about with purple hids on when it's sunny.

I'll be going 6k, nice white with slight blue tinge. Not chavy. I like them standing out a bit :)

anyone get there headlights today? lol

Sorry to be a bit slow here, but, are you all buying the projector headlights (just the bodies) and then fitting HID kits to effectivley have a set of OEM Xenons?

I'm glueing the pop-up washer covers on to make it look completely OEM in case the Police wanna have a word... lol

I've just been sPeaking to carmodshop, If the lamps need the d2s bulb then we just need to buy the d2s connectors for connecting to my original ballasts that I already have :) That's if our have an existing kit, otherwise you need to buy the kit

How succesful will this be then? I will be excited to see the results! :p

Very successful. Why wouldnt it be lol
