I'll check out the fabia pip Right then, here's my usual purge of pics, unfortunately in the same location as the car is still off the road and can't take it to a better location :( Stickers are fin

  • So I made a bit more progress, still needs a bit more painting and then tidying up a bit as there's overspray here there and everywhere lol Still looks strange to me been white instead of black and mi

Not too bad mate,it failed on

No drivers airbag fitted,it's passed for about the last 5 years without it unless rules have changed but I'll just pop standard wheel on.

And nsr caliper binding,I'll look at freeing it off as the cars been sat for 8-9months but worst case scenario a rear caliper

And no front reg plate fitted, obviously forgot to refit it after painting the car lol

So nothing major, just got to get time to fix it now lol

Plus I've got a breather pipe split so I've started pulling bits off to do the n249,sai,pcv delete as most pipes are looking rough,so still a while off seeing the road haha

Not to bad considering a few bits and pieces and you'll be back on the road. [emoji106]

Yes,I've just got to compile a list of what I need,I've got the resistors as I've had them for years as I intended to do the deletes a long time ago, just need to order the other bits then it's good to go :)

Don't forte the blanking plate for the combi valve and some coolant to top up. If you need out give me a shout did mine a while back so can just about remember how to do it. Lol

I'm your #1 fan :)

Always loved the look of a stripped out track car for daily use and was planing on doing mine. But in the end, i went down the sensible route and kept it as a normal daily car and bought a 1990 BMW E30 which will have to "suffer" just like yours

I have the exact same steering wheel for my bmw.

Now, every time i see your car, i think of how mine might have looked.

Love the bonnet with the vents and everything!

One thing i would suggest, you could cut the rear bumper and integrate the diffuser in the bumper, rather than beneath it. Something along the lines of this CLICK. I think it would look better.

Anyway, good luck with the project!

just spotted this! dash looks sweet ;) ahaa although i am very biased

need putting back on the road dude, will certainly stand out!

you at the mid month meet tonight down at the unit?

Thanks guys,

PaulMIG

I do like diffusers cut into the bumper as my friend had his that way on his type r but the problem with the octavia is the boot floor well gets in the way and can't be bothered cutting that out so I've just hung it underneath,it's a bit rough, just like the rest of the car lol.

thanks for doing the dash luke,it looks great :)

And I'm sure it will get on the road eventually, just don't have a lot of free time,it's just sat there since it's mot failure, doesn't need much work to get it on the road but still need to do a bit of wheel arch hacking to get it sitting better and once it's done and on the road I'm sure it will hardly ever be out anyway lol,it will be more of a driveway ornament haha

Well I've done a few bits today, put the number plate on.

Put the airbag wheel back on.

Free'd off the rear caliper and fitted the caliper springs mod that was recommended.

Done the sai,n249,n112,evap,pcv deletes.

And smashed my splitter already lol,so have to make another out of something more solid but bumper is off the car and ready once I decide what to make it out of.

Then just need to take it back for mot and hopefully pass, get tracking done whilst there as it hasn't been done since the rack was fitted over a year ago haha, then start cutting arch lips off and and hammering metalwork to allow me to lower the car back down to a respectable level :)

And also need to buy a g60 clutch/flywheel combo as it slips under load, but has done for a couple of years now and need to get it sorted.

And also painted one of my split rims to see how it looks in black,I like it but they won't ever be going back on the skoda :( as I've passed them down to the wife and going to fit them on her mk5 Ibiza when I get round to it.

How's this coming along dude?

  • Author

Not been up to much dude, just needs to go back for mot first but not had time to get it back in :(

but once it's mot'd there's not much to do other than the bit of hacking on the front arch lips to allow me to lower it down a bit more, bit of paintwork touch up and the clutch but as it's still drivable i can wait for the clutch a bit longer and then anything else I decide to do :)

Got all the splits painted and built back up,just got to see if there going to fit on the ibiza, could be a bit tight lol

And the coilovers have turned up for the ibiza too so got them to fit :)

The splits look really good should look great on an ibiza.

It's an acquired taste, don't think many people are keen on it and it stood out like a tit on a fish at the meet yesterday lol

I am not so sure I saw it briefly yesterday, having seen this thread and thought it did look good. Not sure I would do it to my own car, but I think it looks good to look at. I personally love the madness!

Mate if you think no one likes it you need to get yourself on fb! So much love off everyone that's seen it ;).

Mine needs 4 tyres, topmount, tracking and maybe one of the FK's has bust. Not sure till I strip it down.

It's getting a fair bit of love ;)

More expense, hope you get it sorted out and that you don't throw the towel in :)

And i know there will be people who like the extreme look of my car but I do still think it's an acquired taste as most will say what was I thinking lol

Not that it bothers me either way as I do what I like and I like what I do :)

Every guise gets better and better I love it :)

Towels not being thrown In just yet although I admit I've been close to giving in just lately.

Spotted one with a smooth bumper so now I know what it looks like it'll be getting done.

Also got a photoshoot for a charity calendar coming up in which it came 3rd out of 38 cars so I I've got no choice but to sort it lol.

Anymore plans for yours?

Cheers dude and don't know about every guise getting better but each one definitely causes a reaction wether it be positive or negative but it's all good fun to me reading or hearing the love or hate for it :D

Glad you've not given up on yours and hope you carry on with it as it's good to see something different to the norm :)

Smooth bumper looks good and hope you get it all sorted in time for your photoshoot, should be good.

Don't know about next plans for mine, quite like the idea of a roll cage but can't really justify spending loads on it,that's why it's been built using ebay/gumtree finds haha,I'll just carry on doing what I do and annoying the purists along the way lol

dude, ask dave taylor to sort you a cage like he did for corey bakers anni, i've asked him to look at doing one for my caddy and potentially the fabia

really like what youve done with it, ive had this urge with the fabia but keep restraining myself ahaa

see you tomorrow night if you're coming?
