received a new suede deep dish steering wheel today to replace the momo wheel

DSC_0158n.jpg

and also ordered a snap off boss for the steering wheel,an ebay short shift gear lever with gear knob as i thought with it having no console now an exposed alloy shifter would look better and also a pair of fiberglass focus rs replica bonnet vents.

Blue boss looks cool, as does the wheel!

Dont know whether to be happy or sad when reading the updates on this thread....

Happy as ive no doupt it will look awesome once again... sad as I've a horrible feeling this will be this cars last incarnation...

how do bonnet vents not leak water into engine bay?

  • Author

Cheers Paul, yes I reckon this will be its last incarnation but should hopefully be around for a while yet as I don't need to use it daily now and I'm sure most people will hate it when it's done but I don't really care,it's all good fun :)

And the vents will let in water to an extent but I'm not bothered really,it's all about the silly ott look rather than been functional, just don't fit them directly above electrical items or you can put a shield underneath to direct the water away

Yep my sapphire cossie's bonnet vents used to let in water. Just onto the inner wings so never was an issue

I have no sounds anymore, took it all out lol

I started off just removing the boot install, amps, sub,cd changer and rear speakers and I was going to leave the rest but there was wiring everywhere so today I decided it can all come out so dash monitor, navigation, media player, front components and for good measure the hands free kit and reverse camera lol

Four wheels and a seat soon then... Very Barney Rubble...

lol i do try and find a bargain if i can :)

just won some black 9.5x18 rota grid drifts on ebay and if all goes well with the sale i should collect them this week

there the lower offset et 23 ones so may poke a bit but there was always the plan for rivet on arch extensions and it would save me spacing an et38 set a lot more to fill the arches but we'll see what happens with the deal and work it from there  B)

anyway i got a couple of small jobs done today

ridiculous wing is on  :giggle:
