  • and i totally agree with this. i think they look good as black so just leaving them be. looking forward to getting them, cant be long now surely

  • Well, I've had a fedex missed delivery note left in my porch, so the lights must be here Just wish they'd left the boxes in the porch like every other courier does.

  • All passed no problems

Matt had a missed delivery from UPS but trying to arrange a re-delivery is a joke. The URL they tell you to visit doesn't even exist! :-(

Ahh, this is FedEx so i`m guessing its the bulbs and ballets. :'( I want the bloody headlights!! lol, Ordered and paid for them monday and not heard a peep since.

Cheers for the reply buddy

Hummm, the plot thickens. According to FedEx the package is from "andrew page ltd" which is obviously the car parts people. Very random, I doubt my £50 HID kit would come via them, apparently the package is 5.0kg too. :wonder: Fook knows lol

Actually Matt you've got me wondering now! Was UPS even the right package??? lol. Anyway no probs ;-).

My lights were delivered by CityLink. Also you have nothing to worry about, I had to wait 2 months for my lights after sending them my payment! :dull::D

Well I was told "we have a few sets left" so I am hopeful for quick delivery :D

Good to know Jason. I'll post up what it is tomorrow lol.

Still so tempted by this...Just trying to justify the initial outlay in money...

Mine were delivered by fed ex.

I was emailed an invoice today, so further assurance. Just been finding out about the motor swap over. Sounds like fun :D

Indeed it was the lights! Bulbs turned up today too, off to attempt in the dark in half hour. The motors hard to do then?

Apparently easy once you realise how they come out, and go in. :) Should be clear once you start fiddling :D

the new lights have a thumb wheel thing in them to hold them tight. Its a bit worrying at first as you turn them anti clockwise (i think) aand then you have to pull them! I was worried about breaking them lol. Once youve done one, its alot easier and the instructions can be used for the removal of the motors aswell.

They were pretty easy overall if i`m honest. Hour and a bit in the dark can be too bad.

Used my new bulbs and ballets, slim ones so I slapped them on the back of the headlights

Half way though

They looks very nice, light is good, just need to line them up properly but pretty impressed overall  Will get some proper pictures later in the week, cant really see much difference between these and OEM ones tbh.

I want to protect my xenon investment, so I was thining about applying some Lamin-x. It seems really expensive, or am I trying to order too much? Does anyone know what size i'll get away with for Fabia lights. It seems like I will need 18" by 6" or 8" which is £30 :S

There are alternatives on Ebay, but most are Singapore/Taiwan/China/USA based so shipping will take a while.

What do folks think? I could just buy a huge roll and distribute it amongst those on here for a small sum...

If he interested in that!

Just finished fitting my xenons today, look pretty smart tbh. Needed arms of steel to push the back covers on, a bit of blasphemy helped me throught it ;)

Ended up choosing 5000k bulbs which apprantley are white'white but there more blue, was going for the oem 4300k but some sites say its white with a hint of yellow but probably is pure white, which has annoyed me.

Need to set the beam, going to do it myself using tape measures and markers and probably more blasphemy

Anyone that says that 4300k has 'yellow' in it is bonkers IMO! It's pure white, and then with the projector you get the blue/purple glint anyway!

Apprently some of the 'kelvin charts' suggest a hint of yellow....

I wanted pure white, i'll have to buy some 4300k bulbs unless someone wants to swap...... :smirk:

Sod the kelvin chart, I'll use my own pies to decide what colour the actual bulb appears to be :giggle:

Haha, I need to see your pies! :D

I've ordered 48" by 15" for £21. No doubt I'll have plenty spare...

Just been out in the furby to test the new candels out, pretty impressive and they aint blinding people either. Money well spent!

One thing ive noticed is that my mains/sides look pi55 poor against the hids, the sides have the fried egg look going on and my philips extremes aint doing anything to contribute to lighting the road, as effective as a saftey match :giggle:

LED sides and HID main beam FTW!
