Featured Replies

Its not the one from the GB I organise, I know that. :D Surprised any setup like that works with the lacking room with the bonnet shut.

  • and i totally agree with this. i think they look good as black so just leaving them be. looking forward to getting them, cant be long now surely

  • Well, I've had a fedex missed delivery note left in my porch, so the lights must be here Just wish they'd left the boxes in the porch like every other courier does.

  • All passed no problems

Do I get bonus points for originality? :giggle:

Went to fit my Xenon's and found out one of my lamps are broken, the plastic bracket at the bottom next to the side light, it has a funny threaded bolt. What is that for?

And im missing the rubber grommets for the back of the covers

Has the bracket snapped off? When you take the old lamp out it will become clear. Just set it so it is the same as the old unit.

Yep, ive sent them an email

I'm really happy with mine. Fitted them today and they look spot on. What are these rubber grommets you speak of? I've not had these I don't think! Will they fit in the hole where the wiring comes out the back of the cover?

Couple of pics aswell!!

Yes, the square hole in the middle of the clear covers on the reverse. The instructions show a rubber grommet that fits in that square

So it does! I'll get onto them I think to get them ASAP.

I also didn't get the rubber grommet that goes in the back.

I've emailed them anyway as I think they need them really to seal the wiring inside from corroding from the elements! Why show them n the instructions if they don't put them in? See what they come back with. If they don't sort it out then I'll see what I can get off eBay.

I keep meaning to contact Skoda to get some

Been putting mine in today.

However, my indicators don't work, the stalk seems to turn the sidelights on, strange that it would do it with both sides, can't imagine that both where wired up wrong?

That will be your parking lights, put the ignition on and you should have what you are looking for!

Really want a pair of these now! :D Maybe something to work toward in the Spring!

Well if you plan on keeping your car I think it's a great investment :)

That's a given! And I could get close to £100 for my old lights I think, as they are only about a year old... and oem. Might need to have a comparison with yours one evening, to tip me over the edge on getting them...

I'll be passing Exeter on my way home from work tomorrow early evening time. Nothing like tipping you over the edge asap haha

Ive been out for a drive tonight and they're absolutely epic! They look superb and light the road up nicely without dazzling oncoming traffic(once set up by my mechanic!)Driving around they even make people look at them aswell. I got a couple of comments through my open window about how good they looked on the car. Some of it might be the lights are clean and the car looks like its been rallying though! lol

I can honestly say that its the best £200 ive spent since my shark remap. To put it simply.......just get them!

£200? I thought it was £250? I guess this can depend on which HID kit you fit into it. Not looked into the HID side of it yet.

Yeah I already had the ballasts and then bought the adapters for £5 and a pair of bulbs for £10 which are fine and work fine.

Can anyone give us a quick run down of exactly what is needed? (if we have normal bulbs now) I`m sure it was further back, but I cant find it in the 16 pages of discussion lol.

Cheers

Hi Matt, if you have standard bulbs your indicators and side light bulbs can be directly switched over. Your dipped beam bulbs (H7) can be fitted into your new headlamps as main beam bulbs. Then you need to purchase a D2S HID kit, they are available from about £50 up (you don't need can bus or slimline versions but it does not matter if you do buy one of these). If you buy one of the cheaper version you will get Chinese bulbs with them these are OK but possibly not as bright as the European bulbs. Also you need to find a bung or some way to blank off the hole in the back of the cover of the headlamps to stop moisture entering the headlamp. Job Done

Did a bit more checking, seems it turns on front and rear sides on one side with ignition off. With ignition on the indicators at the rear and side work but the front doesn't, and the dash ticks and flashes twice as fast?

Think it might need scanning?

Sounds more like a bulb has blown or isn't fitted correctly.

+1 or the bulb holder is incorrectly fitted and not making a good contact.
