Well I have the car back.

No advisories or anything about missing washers or levellers, so hopefully that's that settled.... at least until the next lot of changes come in.

Mine were fitted today by Ross (Tech1e). I went for the 55w ballasts and bulbs, not the 'usual' 35w. I've just been out and they are incredible, so much light. I need to get them aligned as I was being given full beam by a few other drivers.

Highly recommended!

I've noticed a lot of people fitting these HIDs without headlight washers. How did it pass the MOT, I thought it was a legal requirement?

It has to be working if its fitted, they can't test it if its not fitted

Has them fitted a while now and still as good as the day I fitted them.

They are Depo units. Love mine and wouldn't be without them. Also passed an MOT, no issues.

Yes everyone who went for the Xenon GB had the black inners AFAIK

Yep those are the ones, will fit all mk1 Fabia's.

If a fabia with factory fitted xenons has an accident you'll have a choice of buying a oem one for £400ish or one of these for £200. Or if you go for a black one it'll look odd so you'll get two of them if that's what you fancy. Either way they get a decent few quid outta you.

I paid £40 off eBay for bulbs and ballasts, you can get then even cheaper than that too. That made my upgrade £225.00 for parts.

How come we need a D2S HID kit for these lights? were the OEM xenons D2S?

Im probably being thick but how do we adapt the current cars wiring to the D2S kits?
