Featured Replies

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year :)

Any ideas about this months meet and 2012 schedule?

Andy normally sets out the meet schedule, but as he's not been on for a long while and there's no objections, I was going 2 try sort the years meets out. Let me know wot folks think lol

Happy new year to everyone :D

Sounds good to me

I'm keen to get to a few meets but I'm not one for the Halfords car park scene.

Done some great meets in the past at amazing places that make for good pics etc. I've listed a few, I know you guys will have you're own preferred locations etc, it's just my personal opinion of places that can make for a really nice drive and great corum photo opportunities.

Inverary Castle.

Loch Lomind shores/Luss

Falkirk wheel

possibly even attending an organised event such as the Chalterherault classic car show. (brill family day out)

I'd defo try and attend any meets, family commitments allowing.

Good luck for 2012 Dovit you'll have an interesting year.

I'm with Andy on mixing it up with destinations for meets.

I was going tp put my self forward for regional organiser but change of career means i wont be able to commit 100% and wouldnt object to you doing it Vrs Dovit.

Could we maybe get a track day sorted? ;)

Thanks for the support guys, only lookin at doing it as the later part of last year was a wee bit of a shambles lol

Was going to throw the idea of "scenic" meets and track/time trial days out 2 folks lol

I'll post up a list of meets etc in the next few days or so. Obviously any ideas etc would be considered as its not just my ideas, after all it is a club lol

If Fast Car are at Ingliston again this year it would be good to have our cars on show.

Time trial days @ Ingilston & Kaimes :D:thumbup:

Inverary Castle is a great shout with the added bonus of a superb drive there and back.

I've been to watch time trials at Kames on the odd Sunday afternoon - I think the last time was a Scottish VAG meet. It would be good to see Skodas in action.

Sounds good.

The prelude is going..... Favorit is becoming the track project (maybe tuning the 1.3 some more or drop a bike engine or 1.8t in to it) emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

1.8t would be interesting, you could even put the 2.0TFSI engine in :thumbup:

What about something like the Seat guys did last year at Crail?

Knockhill and Crail days would be good

I personally don't think we'd get enough members coughing up to warrant the price of booking KH or Crail.

I duno, there is a lot of interest for "how fast is briskoda"

I'm sure if something did ever come around guys from down south would travel up. Not to mention other forums like SeatCupra, or whatever it is for those snobs in the VW's. :giggle:

I missed out on last years SEAT trip to Crail last year due to work and I'd love to go.

Apmaman Crail is open quite a lot and even the seat day last year wasn't a closed day it was still open to anything.

Oh right. Never knew that. I'll have to check to see when its open then. See what this thing can do!

Even at that, the southern members, with the exception of 2 or 3, don't come up here for anything.

I'd be interested in a Knockhill day but the cost is very off putting, and Crail isn't my thing :D

Crail isnt my thing either i went last year and put the car on the show and shine display but didnt enter, i wouldnt dare out it up the 1/4 mile, Knockhill sounds appealing but the expense is to much for me personally.

Kaimes it is then!! Some of us need to join east ayrshire car club first.

Its pretty cheap!
