Replying to a different topic has made me think about naming cars, i always like to do this as i think it gives a car a personality.

The only car iv ever named was my Mk4 Golf GTi and thats only because when i was looking to buy one i saw on ebay that had the number plate SH52 ELA...Sheila, so when i bought mine it just seemed to fit but i dont have a name for my Octy and nothing i think of seems to suite, as above i normally get inspiration from the number plate but mine says nothing :(

Anyone else name theirs? (or is just me being weird?) and any ideas of what i can call mine, ATM i just call it my baby girl, because she is pampered like a baby

'Jackson' for my fabia - because he's not sure if he's black ... or white

had a ka called 'dented dennis' , due to a massive dent in the side

I call mine - Riva (RVA, last 3 letters on number plate).

My mates cars, I call them....

zafira gsi - Savvy.

golf gti - The Jeet.

Audi convertible - The Aldi.

BMW z4 - The Tin Opener (so small, you need a tin opener to get out of it)

Furby.

Or really, My Furby as we have 2 in our family.

Only joking, sorry naming cars is not really my thing -maybe I've never owned one that I feel is that special. My current car is the first car that's 100% mine and not shared as we are a two car family now.

Brothers scooter is called Tommy 2 (tommy one got stolen and thrown in river)

My mates yellow & black Fabia is called Barry (the bee)

weirdest name was for my lancia thema turbo.. "menzies-weem"

Mines called Keith, its a yellow fab.called Keith after Keith lemon as its obviously yellow and with the hybrid turbo goes "ooooosh"

I don't refer to mine as vader but it was the name given to it by a friend and it kind of stuck lol

generally I don't bother to name cars, after all they are just machines and they don't have feelings, it's best not to get too attached to a car.. It goes like this, buy it, tune it up, thrash it, scrap it, return to step one.

This was my 2nd civic I called it Tigger was the only car I named tbh

Cars have personalities, and mood swings (breaking down) and good moods (when it puts a smile on your face)

I remember my Golf used to get moody, i used to drive up a steep hill everyday from work, some days it wouldt want to go anywhere and just potter up slowly (nothing wrong with it!) other days it would fly up like it had a rocket up its arse haha ok maybe i am just sounding crazy but i do get attached to my cars
