The Twins. (And Yeti RS)

I would talk to GAZ as they are a suspension specialist and can alter the setup if you are not satisfied.

KW V3 is a pretty expensive set for a std setup (sold as it is and not specced to your wishes).

And as the Yeti is going to be a fun rocket it can be setup without compromise.

Maybe the simpler KW V1, these are supposed to be a little harder though.

Oh, what the heck. Just take the V3 for the time that GAZ needs to set up the car and sell it afterwards  :sun:

Well... if I am honest I doubt I'd go for the KW v1 as you know the v3 is going to be better.

I really liked the v3 on my mk1 Fabia.

I can see me getting the v3 for the Yeti VRS.

Then giving the old suspension to GAZ to make me a track set up...  then maybe putting the KW v3 on my diesel Yeti...

You've justified it to yourself there Richard. Do it! :D

"Justified" might be stretching it a bit Charlie! :D

But the KW v3 kit does fit a few cars on the same platform if I have a rethink.

Not 100% sure Wardy.

But the kit will fit any Yeti 4x4 as they are all about the same weight.

Surprisingly the 1.8tsi is only a little bit lighter than the 170 CR diesel.

It'll do until I get GAZ on the case, then see what's better.

It shouldnt be too hard to have other springs to suit the weight of the car better.

Just need someone to contact KW (they can supply different springs)

I know a couple of VRS drivers who werent sattisfied with the comfort of the KW street comfort. They had the springs changed by KW for the right comfort.

And as the kits do exist for the different Golf V platform cars, there should be a good range of springs.

@Richard, that sounds logic. Always good when having other cars to swap to.  :giggle:

Q?

Is your Yeti vRS going to be road legal / used on the road or do you intend to keep it for track days only?

I can see your point re the Citigogo being a little too modified to be registered as a road car, but the Yeti project

seems to be a little less extreme.............

Nice and sparkly!

Do the Annapurnas have a standard diamond cut type finish then? Not noticed that before.

Yes they do, but once they get damage some people and dealers paint them as they can't replicate the finish.

Got you. Yeah, the decent refurb places can replicate the finish, never particularly cheap though.

But I've never bothered as they're more work to keep in mint condition :)

I've seen mention of your Yeti vRS but hadn't realised it was a whole new project. I thought it was your current Yeti track weapon getting the vRS twist. B)

I did consider it, but the fact that the 2.0 CR hits 210bhp tops before you have to start removing the DPF brought that plan juddering to a halt.

I'm not taking the DPF off.

The turbo kit for the 1.8 just makes it a lot easier.
