The Twins. (And Yeti RS)

Featured Replies

I prefer Cairns Blue.

Had a 2005 Range Rover in that (they killed the colour off shortly afterwards) and it was really nice.

But yes, as I don't want it to stand out too much, just keep me happy, I'm set on Race blue or Red.

Wasn't familiar with Cairns so google imaged it. It's ok, maybe not my cuppa really. Good luck with whichever you go for, race blue or red. :)

I think it would look great in race blue -but it will stand out because Yetis just don't come in anything that bright.

Had a Google on the Cairns Blue and it looks very similar to the colour, that you used to get the old Nissan Micra K11 (first of the bubble shape ones), it's a really smart colour and despite being non-standard, it would take a real Skoda nerd to know that.

I think my concern is on all the black trim.  The Yeti has quite a lot.  Other models that come with Race Blue don't.

I'm not sure all the black trim and wrap around rear screen is going to "go" with Race Blue which looks great with chrome and silver.

Where a brighter colour like red really suits the styling and contrasts the trim well.

We've had our red Yetis for nearly two years and I still personally think it's the best stock Yeti colour.

Even though I see it every day.

That's why I'm having a bit of a dither... :(

yellow

Colour code the black trim :)

Look what I found

You could just leave it as it is and focus on other things.

Turn up at the track in it with a pipe and flat cap and then muller everybody on the circuit. ;)

bahnstormer vrs -your car looks great, all the glass and black plastic trim works, I think Richard could afford to risk going a tiny bit brighter without loosing the Q factor.

Yes I still think the brighter colours carry off the Yeti styling better.

Don't tell Sparkly though... :giggle:

Or (as a fan of Red, which I am) a fourth option...

And I thought choosing would be easy. :(

Ooh, a nice pearlescent rd will be great. Race blue still wins it for me

If you're open to suggestions, how about somewhere between that red and the Tangerine.

I keep thinking I'll get mine done this colour if funds ever allow (i.e if I can sneak it past SWMBO)

Been messing around in Photoshop myself, I cant quite get a colour match for the Race blue, but I came up with this. Not really different except the wing mirrors ;)

In non-colour related news, my K04 turbo conversion should be here next week.

Found an APR dealer 18 miles from work who will provide the full kit including exhaust, intercooler, air intake and turbo parts.

They just have to zap my ECU and when we've fitted it, it's ready to go. :)

List to do before Castle Combe is:

K04 with air intake, exhaust and intercooler.

Front and rear big brake kit.

Suspension.

ARBs.

Oil cooler.

Uprate clutch.

Two decent front seats.

Lose as much weight as possible.

Colour change.

Wheel change.

15 weeks to go...

Did you run out of paint?   :D

Two Tone effect :D
