ITG Maxogen Induction kit - Fitted

Featured Replies

Would the battery off the polo GTI not fit the fabia? then you can fit the ITG induction kit from the polo also?

The Polo has the exact same battery.

But the difference is that the Polo Gti Battery is located in the spare wheel well and not under the bonnet. This is the same for later Ibiza Cupra models as well

YOu could of course just relocate your battery to the rear!!

Sy :-) what battery did you get in the end that your going to fit?

Its in my build thread

Thanks pal!

Anyone know if the Dbilas flow master kit for a VAG 1.4tsi would fit on the furby mk2? I have not heard of them before until today when i was doing some perusing on the forums.

Dbilas on a VW

just thought there could be enough space to squeeze this in :)

It should fit, but its a very small filter looking at the pictures of it, and considering its price its not that much cheaper than the ITG.

If you're going for a bang for buck induction kit, something like the pipercross viper, or perhaps a K&N Apollo would be better as they are significantly cheaper. Especially if you go down the used route. Nothing a good clean cant fix as long as the filters intact.

However, they are still pretty small, the Pipercross being slightly larger, but costs more new than the K&N. This can be a bad thing as it may lack the filtering properties required as they are "universal" options.

All out performance ITG is the one to go for, but it is expensive.

Unless you go down a completely custom route and manage to box off the high pressure zone behind the light and leave an open cone there, blocking off the heat as best as possible.

Time consuming but would be pretty sweet.

Anyone fancy posting a picture of where this mystical high pressure area is? Cant quite see the end of the hoses in the pics of the installed itg

Think its just along the side of the battery pointing towards the headlight

I've always been reserved about the Dbilias tbh. There's no doubting their performance on the 2.0TFSI, they always showed gains and could handle over 300hp but it does it with such a small filter. I hear this same filter is used in sit down lawn mowers!!!!

Im nervous about sacrificing filtration for more air flow

So would placing the house here be better than linking it upto the orginal intake scoop?

Can you easily remove the original scoop that the air feed trumpet connects to (marked up as 180mm) I'm not convicted as of yet, the itg still looks like it out weighs the rivals. This week in looking to order something :-)

Yeah, its screwed with two hex screws

I'm thinking of just getting the same as you vrs powered and sy. Tbh I can't be bothered ordering the dbilas to look neat but then disappoints me with gains when I go stage 1 in comparison to what I have seen the itg is capable of. Yea it dont look the neatest solution but the graphs prove gains. Where did you both order from? I found it for £270 cheapest so far.

Direct from Revo Technik bud

Im on stock intake at the mo. took the forge one off because it was pants. Intake is n my todo list currently. The list is long and prosperous, and not getting dented anywhere near as quick as id like to do

They have a selection of cold air intakes maybe worth having a look at

Looking at the picture on here could the longer induction pip be fitted with the ITG Maxogen filter inorder to reach the front intake scoop in the grille instaed of have it hiding behind the N/S/F headlamp?

It certainly looks like it.

I wonder if they would provide the pipework seperatly?

Although looking closely the pipe may be slightly thinner then the one on the ITG filter

The pipe work on the ITG is pretty large as is the filter, would be pretty difficult to re route with the battery in place

is it me or is that a 'carbon' copy of the Forge?
