Front Bumper Oops!!

Featured Replies

I'm sure that I'm not the only one to have snagged the front bumper on a kerb in reverse as they are so low on the Octy, but I now have a lovely buldge on the passenger side and a slight gap by the wheel arch. Anyone recommend a body shop in Kent. Also anyone know how much a new front bumper is for an L&K.

Wahoo! Did this within a month of owning mine... :D

I asked the dealer if there was anything they could do about it when it was in for some warranty

work, and they were kind enough to uncrew and rescrew it, so that it sat along the body line

again. Still has the bulge on the passenger side though...

If I'm not careful, mine grounds on the drop down from each floor in our multi-storey car park! It's a long, long overhang as well as being low!

Yeah, mine scrapes on the multi-storey. And over speed bumps.

Rob.

I creep over speed bumps.... see too many who've bu@@erd-up their tracking, so no probs with grounding on those...:)

The Octavia's pretty good at "skipping" speed bumps quickly, but since getting the fridge in

I've decided to take it easy for the sake of my cans... :D

Yep - the last thing you want is to have Coke exploding in yer hand after a good bouncing - erghummmm, because that is what you are carrying in your fridge now Robert, isn't it???!!!

Yeah, currently have 5 or 6 cans of Vanilla Coke and 4 (dare I say it) Penguin chocolate bars... :)

I did have a couple of cans of Stella in it at one point, but I figured I'd never get to drink them,

and I wasn't going to go giving Stella away so it was pointless ;)

Rob.

(dare I say it) Penguin chocolate bars...

Outrageous - someone inform the Penguin Police :D

Penguins  Vanilla Coke yuk! :(

vanilla coke is ace.. that lemon stuff was awful tho :D

I tried a Vanilla Coke the other day at a mate's house. It took some effort to swallow the foul sh1te!

Penguin's rock. As does Stimp's worryingly varied "Penguin's!" thread. :D

Hear hear - needed the vomiting smiley but even Stimps's list doesn't have it ... :(

They have the vomiting smiley on Pistonheads...maybe Colin could sort us one out :D

I like Vanilla Coke...doesn't the lemon stuff only come as diet, which is why it tastes awful?

Rob.

Will have a look - thinks "oh no not another forum!" - hardly getting any work done as it is :D

I wouldn't stick around pistonheads, Nick. Its for people with more cylinders than IQ, from what I can gather. I only joined up to review a Fabia they "tested" / "crashed", so I was able to locate the vomit smiley this way.

I thought there were too many high and mighty TVR owners to cope with. Even vRS owners are easier to handle than that lot. :p

Lol Jason - some people are both (TVR and VRS owners) (have you noticed, a 66% commonality of letters there btw?) Some people own Porsches too - but they're not all high and mighty, although I know what you mean :p

Where in Kent are you?

Cheers

I think Porsche owners are a world apart from TVR owners, from what I can make out. I guess its something to do with the brutishness of a TVR compared to the class / nostalgia of a porsche. Dunno, maybe I'm just talking :dung: ?

Either way - Pistonheads is not my sort of forum, thats for sure!

I like the lemon Coke, not tried the Vanilla one yet.

Somehow can't get round the idea of drinking coke and eating an ice cream at the same time:confused:

I think the likelihood is that if you like the lemon you'll hate the vanilla - the vanilla is not like an ice-cream, it's really in your face - quite overpowering and sickly.
