Does anyone meet in Southampton/Portsmouth/Winchester area?

Recommended Posts

I often go to Hedge End, by the McDonalds and KFC part on a Sunday night. Quite boy racery but a good place to see some nicely modified cars.

Also, by the big Staples in southampton, near west quay, IIRC there are massive car meets on the last Sunday of each month.. normally 100+ cars..

worth checking out!

Same, but I go usually to grab something to eat. :giggle: if you see a manly blue Octy estate with rather bright Xenons... that's me!

I often go down to the staples meet. Look out for a black mk1 furby with White compomotove 1680's slammed :) mind you I still manage to get over that mountain they call a speed bump that's in the middle! And I might check out the kfc McDonald places on a Sunday. Mmm Macdonalds+kfc and cars mmmmmmmmmmmmmm :D

Nice! I'll keep and eye out for you too! Mine is a little more discreet than yours buddy.. Only 312mm front brakes in black, front splitter, and white dice dust caps  :p

I'm tempted for a 312 mm conversion, not that you would see them! However I hate "push & pull" brake systems, prefer a good old fashioned multiple piston caliper :p, I wil have a look for you if / when I'm next down, mine will soon have a baby on board sticker on the window (can't get an internal one as windows are tinted) so mine will be unmistakable!

I literally have no idea about the places round here since i'm such a newbie aha but I've got my M.O.T on Thursday.

Hopefully it wont hurt too much and i'll have £180 left over to play with so I should still be able to make this one =D.

I've got some job interviews lined up for this week too so it's all picking up again =D

Happy Days!!!

Sounds like a good plan! shall we meet at the picket post services at around 11-11.30ish? has anyone had any ideas on having lunch yet? either find a pub or maybe BBQ? in my personal opinion i think pub might be better due to our unpredictable british weather!

Naybo if you need a hand with anything for the MOT let me know! Im a Mechanic at Volvo :)

How do you bunch of loveable rogues!

I've got a new job! ABOUT BLOODY TIME TOO.

And I think we totally lost control of actually having a meet up last week =P I don't know if it happened or not but i'm going to look at starting up a new thread with an official date for a proper New Forest meet for us chaps.

Had my MOT last week which was nice and rapey as money goes but thankfully I've got this job so I can do the niggly little things that need fixing in m'lady and I can have windows that work again, air con that cools the car, and a turbo that....well, turbo's xD.

How does the 1st of August sound for everyone?

Plenty of time to get organised and plan routes, get days booked and various things so we can have a right good gathering?

Right then, chaps, not looked at this thread in a while but how about we make this an official South Coast meet? We've got the perfect location (New Forest) which has some glorious scenery and some lovely road to drive around, plenty of parking areas and a lot of camp sites. AFIK there are no probs with portable BBQ's and there are even some proper public use BBQ's there, so c'mon, whaddayasay? The date we could easily sort (thinking 29/7) Well? Gimme some feedback and we can add it to the calender. I'm sure there are loads from Hants/ Wilts/ Dorset/ W. Sussex who'd turn up.
