Did a semi-recce today thanks to work. How about the Portsmouth-ites drive over to the Southampton folks (meet at convenient place, i.e. near Southampton airport just off the A27).

Pompey + Sotons drive up M27 & A31. Meet with anyone around Bournemouth area at Burley services, head back down A31 to Stoney Cross turnoff and then find suitable BBQ spot? Or is this too complex..?!

The convoy sounds like a Stella plan gents, would be nice to end the night with a photo shoot with something nice and illuminated in the background, eg spinicar tower or something of the sort?

We're getting there I've scoped out the perfect location. Quiet, New Forest, can fit up to around 25 cars, easy to get to. Photos coming.

not me, she can't imagine anything more horrendous than a bunch of blokes with cars talking about and fawning over cars, I'll leave her in the kitchen, once I've shown her where it is

Hmm. This is where we need an "event organiser" to determine things like this. A person whom has the power invested in them to make this decision. I'm sure it will be an easy change, I will be available, don't know about the others and well I will bring my good lady lee as she likes cars (she's a carlsberg woman) the more the merrier!!

Ben- I'm happy to have a shot at organising it. BBQ sounds easy and good- if everyone brings one or two things it'll be a feast also, has anyone got a gazebo..?! Just in case it's a bit rainy!

I'm easy with Sunday's now, we need to sort out who's bringing what gear also, I'm happy to bring a BBQ and also find a few tables to set up on, don't have a gazebo but I'm sure I can find some tarpaulins that we can hang between trees if there are trees of course? Will be good to see pics of the area .

We need to get some momentum behind this, would love go see a double digit turn out! What better way to spend a sunny Sunday than with a bunch of petrol heads (diesel in my case) chatting about cars, crowding around a BBQ with some music, ice cold drinks and a back ground to die for
