Very nice! Not often to see a pic of bikes on the snow/compressed snow! The big bandit is really growing on me, looks spectacular the way you have it.

My reason for getting bike licence in all seriousness was because I was missing category 'A' from the alphabet on my licence and that alone was reason enough. That is a very typical of the type of how/why I do things. I can justify anything given given half a chance. Cars followed by bikes are my biggest money pits, I am of the firm opinion I would be rich if I had just kept my old 406, the first VRS was where it all went wrong in that sense. :giggle: a nice low miles 06 Mk1 Fabia VRS was sold and ordered a new Octy VRS for the reason that I needed a tow bar for bike trailer..... 2 years later Octavia has 11K on it and no tow bar....... ZZR1400 traded in against the Z1000SX because I liked the alphabet on my licence tbh and was cheapest way to sell it as it was due a lot of coin spending on it (about half its value).

Man maths and OCD logic at it's best :D I bought my current vRS because I wanted to carry a kayak. My last one could carry it fine but that was my reason. Will be nice to have my licence starting with A

I was furious when I found out the Mk1 VRS was not type approved for a tow bar and it became a total show stopper for EU towing :( When the 1.2 petrol standard one could have a tow bar! But when I moved out here I advertised car and bike on Ebay to see which would sell..... car went having owned it over 2 years and doubled mileage for £150 under what I paid for it :D Bought a run around 406 estate HDI and fitted a tow bar, as Octavia build was 6 month order ish. Then just in last 10 days before I left with my brand new trailer about to be delivered someone bought the smegging bike and it made life a lot easier moving and I could cancel trailer...... still miss the wee furby suited me. Also miss the GSXR1000 was an awesome track day missile!

I have a rhyme for licence categories I wanted to sort out too "A, B, C, D all with E, also F, K and P" :D I know there is not an A+E licence but I liked the rhyme :p

Just put a deposit down.

They are throwing in a fresh MOT even though there's 9 months on it, a new tank protector, it's taxed until December and they'll do it's yearly service too. Asked about who owned it last and apparently was a 40 year old man who wanted something comfier. Pick it up Wednesday if all goes well.

No Martyn, you cant be serious, we all thought you were kidding..

Good luck Enjoy yourself.

Kidding?

When I get it I'll take a photo next to the vRS as proof

I absolutely love the A1P zx6r's, stonking engine and those brakes....was first bike i rode with radial calipers. Nearly went through the screen first time i broke lol, anymore than 1 finger braking was panic braking lol :-)

Friend had one and changed the rear shock to a penske fully adjustable unit, proper weapon and should have bought it off him when he sold it. Found out lad that bought it wrote it off 3 months later :-(

What happened to the CBR? Thought they were pretty reliable from what I've read

Was for yorkhill sick kids hospital in glasgow Sarah, all for a very good cause. Usually attracts around 5000 riders every year.

After the easter egg run we all headed out to the coast, all i'll say is that trikes really dont like twisty roads lol. Feel like i've done a 12hr stint at the gym, am in agony wrestling that brute around LMAO :-)

Brilliant - good on you for taking part - does make a huge difference and put smiles on faces  . At work they think I am a little odd though as I get excited about all the bikes rather than the chocolate

Yeah its a great laugh, raises a lot of cash for the hospital too. Was very well organised this year, very little stopping and starting.

Such a nice day - thought I'd take the bike out for a spin - and here I am

Having ridden an Enfield I would hate to attempt that on one ;0) - nooooooooooooo brakes

Ok actually they are quite nice bikes, but not built for comfort or speed, which is probably just as well with drums on the front of some still :whew:

In honesty do fancy riding across India though

All reminds me of this video, God knows how many ton's this thing is!

Well after a 100 mile and a very windy ride back it's home. Was hoping for it to be calmer but was headwind or sidewind all the way and was quite hairy at times especially around 70mph. Bike feels really good and gives confidence. Accelerates well once I'd got used to changing gear. Rode to Ross on Wye and stopped for a stretch and a drink. Found my wrists hurt but expected this. After the stop they were fine but did stop again for another stretch and to warm my fingers up a bit. They weren't too bad but I will need stronger gloves.

Oh and here's the proof :D Pics could be better but I'll take a few more after I detail it. Not that it really needs doing it's spotless. Next stage is to fit crash bungs, a double bubble screen and a new tax disc holder. Chuffed to bits with it.
