Was second time 2011 by any chance?

Where did you go for it? I'm in Notts and fancy putting the Tuono on and see what it's got.

No it was 2009 from memory. Not been since then as we did South of France via the Ring.

Nice and local then. What did it cost? Did they set it up for you?

I hope it is a good year this time, Ulster Grand Prix a little later in the season is fantastic too. Get to see a bit more speed on it and the main competitors are not nursing the bikes getting to grips with them in build up to the TT like they do at the NW200. All the road racing is run by a fairly small groups and on a real shoe string, very close to going under each year. :(

£120 for various dyno runs and custom mapping, good lads and nice little workshop ;)

Finished my first tank of fuel and it did roughly 140 miles to 10 litres which is about 60mpg. Not bad considering I've been giving a bit of stick on empty stretches. Oddly the book says the tank holds 17 litres so I'll have to look into that. First few bits ordered for it. New tank pad as the old one is coming away. Must have been the cold. Also ordered a fender extender for the front. It comes with screws but some strong glue should be fine? Don't really want to start putting holes in things.

Filling the bike up on a centre stand if fitted is the best way to get it full, on kick stand obviously it is not going to take as much. You can sit on the bike to keep it level when filling but some filling stations do not like that and tell you off over the loud speaker like the ones who don't like you having a helmet on etc....

Some places are just pedantic:

Ah the Baron. Some of his vids are pretty good. I was sitting on the bike when I did it and was no problem but going in was as sign to take off my helmet. I'm happy with 60mpg with normal riding. Even if I pushed it a bit and range dropped to say 100 miles it's still more than enough to play with.

I do need a neck warmer. The only bit that was cold last night.

I dream of 60 mpg, lucky if I get past 100 miles on a full tank before the light comes on for more petrol.

17 litres sounds about right. If you don't need too I would bother trying to fill to the brim everytime. I only do this when I'm away in Europe as you never know where the next station is. It's nearly caught a few of us out in the past, particulary in France on sundays...

Fair point with the helmet issue at petrol stations but the Baron needs to take a chill pill, too angry by far.

Epoxy resin. Get some fine wet and dry paper, give mating surfaces a good rub down. Wash and dry, and then wipe with meths. Apply a good amount of epoxy resin to both surfaces and bring together. Clamp them together and leave for 24 hours.

If that can survive my KTM 990SMT, then you should be fine.

Couple of clothes pegs for goodness sake, its only an SV 650 :hi:

Some are a holly terror when it comes to bikes. I tend to remove it anyway unless it was my CrapBerg which full face opens on it. If there is a sign even that has to come off for some reason. Tesco or someone a year or 2 back said to papers that fumes could get trapped in helmet and make you pass out :D then quickly retracted that. When I fill up current bike as it has no centre stand :( I put kick stand down and turn handlebars before I start, just in case I either forget or slip and end up looking like a tool.

Nawt wrong with a good old SV650 ;0)

There's something about your first bike - mine was a Honda H100s - Still have fond memories. I know in truth it was an awfully dull bike, but then it did pull some rather Impressive wheelies :0)

I still honestly regret selling my first bike when I did, I had so much more to learn on it. I would happily get another now tbh, very little power to weight difference to current bike! 40bhp less but near 50kg lighter! WHAT HAVE I DONE? :wall:

Bit OT but sort of related to the camera thread. I know you have a camera for when you are on the bike but how have you mounted it? On you helmet or is it a chest mount? Debating whether or not to use the GoPro more often

Add me on Facebook if you fancy bike camera talk, I have been doing it for years and been through all sorts :D GoPro is on helmet at moment (HD Hero 2) fantastic results wide angel of lens works well, chest straps look a little weird and if your down over top of tank will loose picture. I like bike or helmet mounted. GoPro come with (as does drift I imagine) more than one self adhesive mount, so you can have one on bike one on lid clip camera on where you like on the day. Tank mounts are good too but not if you ever want a tank bag.

Current set up day I popped it on last year and wanted to test how well the little 3M pad held it on.

Welll my dad got my into bikes when i was 16.. HE later bought me my first bike on the cheap to see if i liked it uga4e8u6.jpg just a chinese enduro style thing... I then wasnt happy with it more power !!! I passed my test on 1-10-10 and went and picked up my next project e8evu4eg.jpg a zxr 400 great machine imo so nimble amd not under powerd..... This sorted looked taky so i set to playing and it ended up like this !vyjeva9e.jpg but as time goes on wr move on and i passed my car test... Sold the bike and was happy with my skoda fabia vrs which brought me to you guys :) then i got a pay rise o god bad move... I want a toy back in my garage... But to my suprise got this 9adyde7u.jpg
Sv650s in blue for my birthday :) happy happy

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
Just renewed my insurance on the Sprint ST, renewal quote was about £220 with a £500 excess. Bennetts just thrashed that with £117 for the same cover and only a £350 excess, fully comp and protected, think this is the lowest I have ever paid!

I'll be looking at Bennetts next year

Oh but your new bike is a fine looking machine :)

Only bike I ever regretted trading in was my XJ550 - Loved it :) It was naked, with four into one exhaust and good power/weight for me. Swapped it for a XJ600, and just couldn't gel with it at all. Didn't get on with the fairing and it seemed much heavier and higher too. Managed to drop it at low speed and after that never really got back on it.

Yay - Good choice.

Love my Gladius ( I get on better without fairings) - for me it is ideal, weight, power and height - Happy Bunny :)
