  • Reflection appears to show some old man wearing a bra!

  • Can someone with the new badges post up some before and after dyno curves, please, as I’m anxious to know how many extra horses they are making

  • My original badges were starting to delaminate and were looking tatty so I decided to change them out for the newer black ones. Very happy with how they look and I think the suit a black car nicely.

General idea seems to be mask up around it and apply heat (hair dryer etc) then pry them off.

Cheers mate will give it a go at the weekend

Cleaned up the Fabi today. Good time to show off the badges ;)

Good lord no :D

A mate of mine needs a new bonnet badge on his Mk I as it fell off when he shut the bonnet. He found this one on flea bay. Not sure what to make of it

That looks like a stand up badge like you would get on a Jag or something one that sits on a stand above bonnet. It certainly would look different I would be interested to see pics if he does it but definitely not my cup of tea.

And illegal , any car registered after 1974 cannot have them, that is why Jags no longer have them, it makes my blood boil when people retro -fit, they are child killers. Mbenz are articulated so ok, and RR drop into the radiator grille in a millisecond

Makes sense not the best thing for having sat there when you mow down a pedestrian. I bet insurance would head for the hills at same time if that's the case.

I have reported them to ebay as well , my mate in 1984 got hit by a Jag, with an aftermarket original emblem, it sliced his spleen in two, he was in intensive care for a month, touch and go at the time, so as I said, it makes my blood boil

It's one of those things you would not initially think if with those badges being there. Hitting an upright person their body will tend to fold around the shape of the front of car initially and with one of those waiting for you........... gives me a chill to think. I hope your mate was ok after that month or so.

Holly smokes! At least someone somewhere has had the sense to recognise the risk and change the law even it it was 10 years later that this happened people can take longer to come around to such changed and understand why they are made. What happened driver back in 1984?
