  • Reflection appears to show some old man wearing a bra!

  • Can someone with the new badges post up some before and after dyno curves, please, as I’m anxious to know how many extra horses they are making

  • My original badges were starting to delaminate and were looking tatty so I decided to change them out for the newer black ones. Very happy with how they look and I think the suit a black car nicely.

Picked up and fitted my front badge today

First time I have seen new badge on chrome surround. Looks good but personally I do prefer black surround to tone things down a little.

Seems the stick on ones are being made now.

Might be worth measuring the steering wheel one and emailing the seller. Resizing it should be a piece of cake.

After replacing the headlight on wifes A-class yesterday (What a pitta that was) I got around to putting the new badges on:

I do think the new rear badge looks much better on the grey car than the old one did, far more classy.

knew i hadnt seen the car around im only 5 miles over the road from ET's...

Heading over to them again tomorrow morning.

Hope the weather is good. every time I go there it bloody rains and the car get's filthy :D

Can I just double check. Are both badges just held on by sticky stuff? Neither are bolted from behind?

Front badge is heat staked plus sticky pad but you can see this inside the bonnet (I pushed the badge up from inside the bonnet after warming it up). I haven't taken off the rear but think it is just held on with sticky pad.

Rear is just sticky.....albeit very sticky! I pour hot water over it then used plastic coated wire to cut it off everything else just snapped.

Anybody here have any dealings with superskoda badges? Ie did they take long to arrive etc

and still thinking which one for the front grille??

rear one is nice but heavier to glue it to the mesh - letters are without backplate,

or new VRS front badge like on the pic, which is still not available

How is the old badge fitted? Is it just stuck on with double sided sticky stuff?

Some interesting news - Be careful ordering now. From Skodaparts.com

but rear badges are not available.

After we checked all UK stock, we found that they put wrong badges into the boxes in factory.

Please keep checking our website and ring me when 5J0853621AAUL becomes available again.

Trying to find out what badge they did put in the box to get the right new part number

I chased my dealer yesterday and they are still waiting for delivery.

I chased my dealer yesterday and they are still waiting for delivery.

That might explain how the date for mine keeps changing on the dealer order tracking system, still waiting for the rear to arrive

Looks like the part number of the correct badge (i.e. the one that was being put in the box) is

5J0853621AUL

Note the lack of the extra A in there. These are available

Hmm got through my badges - Great service from SkodaParts - quick delivery and price that beats anything online.....

..but the rear badge - 5JO 853 621 seems to be too big for my preFL. mk2. The badge is 90mm where as the factory one is 80mm.

Any chance someone with a new badge on a preFL could measure theirs and let me know the part number they went for?

Does yours have AAUL or AUL? The one you need is AAUL I believe. That it the one I order from ebay and it measures 80mm.

Want to replace the badges, but am a bit unsure the best way about it especially the rear badge. All this talk of hair dryers and drills....

Do the new badges just 'stick' on?

First time removing factory ones I just used a nylon trim removal tool I had from when I retro fitted a Columbus to pry them off and came away easily no marks left etc. Second time when I changed to new rear one again I didn't have my trim tool thing so just used a butter knife and put some blue roll around end of it, again no damage. They are just self adhesive on back and some locating lugs to assist in lining up. I understand why people are opting to use heat etc to make it more pliable when removing but in my case I didn't find the need at all, once they were up enough I simply pulled them off with my fingers slowly.

Mine was stuck on well but got it off fine with plastic coated garden wire....fishing line wasn't strong enough.
