  • Reflection appears to show some old man wearing a bra!

  • Can someone with the new badges post up some before and after dyno curves, please, as I’m anxious to know how many extra horses they are making

  • My original badges were starting to delaminate and were looking tatty so I decided to change them out for the newer black ones. Very happy with how they look and I think the suit a black car nicely.

Mines a silver elegance and it works well replacing the tatty original ones

Yes

Mike I went for the new style badges specifically because they're not constructed in the same way and the water can't get in and delaminate them (or at least that's what it looks like). The style of them was secondary but I do think they look good.

Ben, what works well? Replacing with new style or with originals??

Hoping you'll say new, 'cos I'm picking them up tomorrow!

Mike

Replacing with the new ones, looks miles better imho

Thanks for clarifing :)

As promised, daylight photos of the new badges on a Cappuccino Beige car. Seems to set to chrome grille off nicely.

Look excellent Mike

Are these what you used?

1ST 853 601A AUL - Front (CitiGo Front)

5J0 853 621 A AUL - Rear (New Fabia Rear)

Just email Skodateile with the part numbers listed above and they will get back to you with the price. All fitted perfectly. Only got pictures of the front at the minute, but rear etc fit just as well.

Just wondering,

How long was delivery time?

I have a set ordered from them and am waiting patiently :)

It took just over a week, they didn't have badges in stock so had to order them.

Having mastered the Octavia new badges and then defected, I have now replaced my faded badge on new car :D

Before

After £4.55

Originally it is plastic welded to the grill. You can glue it to it?

Look awesome :)

What's the cost for the badges?

Hia all,

I have read this entire thread and as Yoda would say.................. 'Confused am I'

I have a Black Octavia so though the badge change would look good seeing the examples on here.....

However what set would I need for Front, Back and wheels for an 'Octavia Mk2 FL 2010 Hatch' as my back badge is also de-laminating.

Plus where is the best place in the UK to by a set? Maybe from the Bay of E or local dealer?

Many thanks in advance for your help,

Cheers Rick

Foam backed glue onto the plastic base . Just heat up the original with a hairdryer and pull off leaving the black plastic surround on the grille. Heat up the new one and pull from base and attach to old base , and yes I replaced these 3 times

How much was postage?

Everything came to €71.84

Delivered to me.

So just to triple check ;-) I have a 08 plate vrs. Pre FL so I would need 5J0853621AAUL
