If that's the real McCoy, then I like it!

This side profile is very "Audi" esque - from below the window line anyways.

Still looks good though

Looks a lot like the same car the teaser shots are from and a lot different from the pictures of the mules we have been seeing

There are some differences from those which Auto Express released in only 2 weeks ago:

Erm looks the same only without the disguise?

The Rapid does look great though!

Can't wait for a vRS version :)

In that they've sorted the grille/bonnet, headlights, side bump trim - presumably these were part of the disguise.

How long can you wait?

That's it! No disguises.

Yeah look closely at the headlights, they're actually just covered in stickers to make them look like the Fabia lights.

It's a good disguise though.

You wouldn't be taking the mickey out of a Golf advert by perchance?

Now, wheres the estate? Come on Skoda, hurry up!

Needs bigger rims!

looks a very nice car, the front end looks like a vision d

Only bit I dont like is the flat surface around wheel arches seems very big and then wheels small like it is just to cover up the gap to me it makes it look too tall a car for its wheels. That said its the only part I personally do not like and I would be very interested in a Greenline or VRS version (one extreme to the other I know lol)

ps. Cheers for the pics keep them coming :D

I wonder whether the Auto.cz pics were part of the controlled leak or really a "scoop"?

The journalists presentation will be in Vienna on 25th and 26th June.

I'll continue to post the detail photos from Skoda's facebook here:

Thanks for the info and continued 'detail' pics

More I see this car the more I like it, be interesting to see the 'finished' interior; after looking at a Citigo yesterday I felt a little disappointed in the quality and appearance of the seat fabric in particular (SE spec) :wonder:

Skoda seem to be quite proud of the Rapid from the comments I have read... And they should be too as for a budget car there are some very nice details on this car at first glance, particularly in the lights and bodywork.

Also nice to see a concept car that turns to reality with very few changes!

As long as it doesn't go too far down towards the budget end of the market, it will be just fine.

I dunno, I think Skoda are going so far away from budget cars (Citygo excluded) that they could do with a decent budget motor. Especially as a lot of the rest of the range is due to increase in size & no doubt price?

Some more info; Xenon lights will be an option, biggest wheel size will be 17", nav/audio will have a USB input. Width is greater than 1700mm.

Just need DSG, a 1,8TSi or 2.0 petrol & a pair of decent CR diesels like the 140 & 170... Bluetooth connectivity + MDI & I'll be happy!

Like it, looks very similar to the concept car.

It really does look very Audi-esque!

I like it. And as above with a decent choice of engines it could be a good car.

You can pretty much guarantee that it will see the 1.4 TSi and the 1.6 CR TDi (Greenline?)

Would be very nice with a 2.0 CR 170 TDI DSG though.
