CAN Gateway Upgrade

Featured Replies

You also need to sort out the installation list. This tells the car what modules are installed and therefore what it should be able to contact.

If you do an autoscan, that should tell you any that aren't registered and any that aren't responding. If they aren't registered, add them to the installation list, if they aren't responding, they probably aren't fitted and can be removed from the installation list. Feel free to post an autoscan if you want clarification.

The only extra step that's worth doing when replacing a CAN gateway is to make an autoscan before changing any modules. This will help you sort the installation list out. Be warned that some modules may move, I think the steering angle sensor moves from 00 to 04 depending on gateway versions.

I have been through the installation list with my other octi and played with that when I was trying to refine the settings! I have another GW on order for the other octi so I will report back with the progress!

Again, many thanks for the replies!
