New Superb - Columbus unit & compatible phones?

Featured Replies

So i'm almost ready to order the new superb estate and I was thinking:

Which mobile phones allow full compatibility with the Columbus features?

I gather rsap is required? But anyone got suggestions?

Does an iPhone work?

Samsung galaxy s2 or s3?

Blackberrry Torch??

etc etc

Your recommendations please.

Also a bit concerned now reading about the columbs failures in other threads...

I have a galaxy s3 working on my 2011 170 elegance estate

downloads phone book

uses steering wheel controls

plays audio through car speakers.both phone and music/podcasts

does not read texts in maxidot display but does show phonebook and call log

does not make use of external antenna

make sure you have latest firmware downloaded via keis...PDA:LFB / PHONE:LFB /CSC:LFB (BTU)

ANDROID VERSION 4.0.4

I have an iPhone 4 and it took all of 30 seconds to set it up. Works faultlessly. Enjoy.

I have my iphone 4, blackberry 9360 and lg one (andriod 2.3) all connected without fuss. Phone books etc available on all 3 handsets.

I wish I could have 2 phones connected at the same time though (I have a bt headset which cost less than 30 quid that can connect to 2 phones simultaneously so it can't be hard!

If the iphone connects first the BB is connected as a media player (and all functions for music work off the car fine) - not sure if the iphone would do the same as I haven't tried it.
