hydrogen cells

Well I cant explain how in the tests i did, why an improvement was seen! on one occasion a marked improvement.

I am accepting what I read in that article, but cant deny the evidence either.

Lofty,

H2O to H2 +O2 is an endothermic reaction. That is, it can only be done by the addition of energy from an external source. All you have to do to convince me is tell me where the external energy is coming from if it's not from the fuel in the existing tank.

well i can only assume that the amount of electricity used to power the reaction, is less than the overall charge put out from the altenater. How many amps does an altenater produce? How much will the average car use of said power, is there any outlying electric available?

The pontiac i observed and tested went up by 12mpg thus doubling the economy, if it costs more in energy to split the gases, then surely said vehicle would have gone from 12mpg to 10mpg, or it was 26mpg doubled to 52mpg then energy costs bring it back down to 24mpg.

It is very hard to convince me of its fruitlessness when I drove the car at length, same distance/driving style/temperature/traffic, then for it to return double? ok 5mpg you could lose due to variables but not 12mpg.

The case shouldnt be that I convince you........no........you need to convince me it doesnt work.

Its like trying to tell an eyewitness of an accident, that it never happened........while the wreck is still on the road. We all know science theory makes sense, but by the same token how many times has science got it wrong? calculations that didnt end up working? Many times.

The invention no one can actually demonstrate to be true.

Even with a million dollars for the first person to fit one to a test car and verify it gets an increase of at least one MPG.

The US news show Dateline has completely debunked this. They tested their vehicle (an Accord) at an EPA-certified lab, had an HHO proponent install the HHO apparatus (where he claimed the vehicle would now do 96 MPG!!!), then retested it at the EPA, Result? Zero, nada, zilch change in mileage or emissions.

No HHO proponent has ever had one independently tested and shown it to work. It's all testimonials. It goes like this...

I invented a flashlight that can burn a square hole through walls

It can do it because I say so.

I'll sell you one for £100

My friend Ken is burning square holes through walls right now as I speak to you.

Here's a photo of a hole Ken just made.

squarehole.jpg

No! I can't show you the flashlight, you have to buy your own. What! It doesn't work. You must be using it wrong - Ken didn't have any problems - he thinks it's great.

Why should I have to prove my flashlight work to you when it clearly works for Ken?. The photo proves it. If it didn't work there wouldn't be a square hole.

I'm a genius by the way.

solid line of reasoning! That reasoning then determines that this discussion can be without resolution. Testimonials are all I have, those of my own. The argument can also be repeated the other way around, "heres a wall with no hole" proving it doesnt work.

Some have recorded improvement, some others have recorded no improvement. Without controlled rolling road testing with exact parameters and charted in print from said machinery, run by an independent adjudicator, then its word against word.

Conclusion: I cannot prove it works. It hasnt been proved unequivocally not to work. Therefore no suitable outcome for either party.

p.s the 'Ken' illustration did make me giggle, I feel I will use that in another scenario :giggle:

Hundreds of years of oil left, wouldn't worry about it.

Hundreds of years of oil left, wouldn't worry about it.

 Eloquently put. It is of a rather insignificant nature.

I find that keeping a jar of jam in the glovebox makes my car handle ever so slightly better.

I might start selling Amazing Handling Auto Jam on Ebay.

Looks like Ebay might ban people selling pointless tat, just like the disputed Magical Water Wizard Box.
