I've had my VRS for over a month now and its been a great drive, I love the car but I've got a major thorn in my side about it.

My passenger window mechanism broke, replaced it but I BROKE the lock mechanism trying to get the dreaded plug off.

So I replaced the lock mechanism!

I went to the car today and the damn thing wouldn't unlock with key 1.. tried key 2 and luckily it unlocked for me as I can't use the key: Why did it not unlock?!

The Driver's door lock - the previous owner parked his car in London and the drivers door lock was destroyed by a thug.. so if the door doesn't open by the key I am screwed..

What should I do?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you trying to unlock with the key or with the c/l remote? could possiably be out of sink and just need resetting?

The key doesnt work as someone destroyed the lock barrel..

The light on the remote still lights up when i press it so it surely cant be out of battery?

Id love to try re-sync the key to the car but not sure how?

Any use on re-syncing? If it's any help, using VCDS you can recode keys if you've only got one and can't do the door lock thing. Assume it would work too if the lock is damaged?
