well it was on with the exhaust fitting this morning

 

down pipe nuts came off extremely easy! 

 

so new one on with a new gasket and then the exhaust had to mess around getting the exhaust and decat to mate up nicely as the exhaust is made wto have a reducer fitted to connect up to the normal cat but obviously mine was now bigger so no reducer but exhaust too short so all a little confusing but i had to use the reducer and the bit supplied with the decat to just about slot into place.

the results are

 

sits perfect and set the back off nicely IMO

 

oh and it sounds a little different too sounds awesome!

Probably different decat so it was shorter but oh well it fitted in the end

Decided to keep the standard cat i found a space in the loft now to decide on exhaust i will probably throw it away lol

mines sitting under a tree in garden all sticky and full of ear wigs and spiders

 

have to have a prept rev single louder than twin

stupid clamps between the decat and centre section are rubbish and wont go very tight alowing slight movement meaning my exhaust is back wonky again and sitting slightly low! new clamps sitting in my room ready to fit tomorrow

haven't updated in a while as i have been busy and no money to spend!

Had a slight fuel leak on one of the braided pipes thought it was just the clamp so tightened that up and removed the 90 degree connection out but that didn't work turned out i had a big split inside the braid so had to quickly fit a temp pipe

now have the standard pipe back on ordered up some braided pipe when i got here even before i opened up the package it clicked in my brain i had ordered the size for the brake servo pipe not the fuel  so that for sale now! ordered up the right pipe just now... the bonnet stays closed till thats on! hopefully will be here in time for prept next wednesday

pipe should be here tomorrow so i can sort that and gain some interest in the car again!

pipe was fitted last week so the bay is now back to how it should be i need more red pipes now! 

 

got my hands on some genuine xenons, i just need to get my ass in gear and make up some looms to fit them to mine and also to fit mine to the car they are coming from and also the lenses have slight heat fractures in them so i will split them and put my lenses on that should be fun! im in no rush so i will sort it when i get time

so its time for an update...

 

being the idiot i am i caught one of my wheels :( (touched up in the picture)

 

swapped the wheels over the next day and sent the wheel over to be refurbed they did a great job! they only had to paint one spoke and you cant tell the difference!

 

then friday evening i was on my way out pulled up to some traffic lights had just stopped and there was a big bang and the car jolted forward slightly thought that doesnt sound good but i need to pull up out the way, pulled away from the lights changed into second and then it made the noise again then i could smell gearbox oil... oh damn! so slowly home as was only up the road pulled onto the drive got out there was oil everywhere all over the road and everything! 

 

so went to pick up my mates new mk1 octavia vrs for him got home and decided i would use that to tow mine over to work

 

 

i was certain the diff had let go! left it till today to get the car up in the air so went in this morning got it on the ramp, loads of oil everywhere but no visible hole

 

 

got the box out and found this

 

 

the release bearing had blown up and gone straight through the box! but i knew there would be a hole somewhere so fitted in the spare box and refitted my wheels and away i go! 3 gear in the new box is a little odd wont go straight in and also the side to side movement is very stiff but i know whats causing it i will sort this either later or tomorrow not too sure about 3rd gear yet but we will see

Hardly my fitting that caused this..

He tried a thread on my old fabia se when he bought it but he never updated it!

And i am considering changing wheels anyway fancy some bbs ch's in grey or some team dynamic imola's
