Plastidipped my grill on thursday ready for the tunnel meet,

Had loads of problems with it just spurting out instead of spraying nicely

Then after loads of trial and error i realised it needed heating up slightly

wasn't too sure about how it looked on the car but after a while i do like it!

then Friday night i went along to the tunnel meet and managed to get lost with member randy 675 in london when we was asked to move on from the tunnel think we was driving around 45 mins + to find everyone else

then today i got bored as usual and started wrapping my dash trims

front mount intercooler, DV and map sensor pipe bought all metal pipes have been painted black look a little tacky so think i will give them a new coat of high temp paint, im going to do my rocker cover and manifold red or black at some point so dont know if i should do the metal pipes red or black?

Im not a big fan of stealth im the sort of person that likes people to go wow look at that! But black is sticking out to me i think red would just end up too much red but black would end up just right. At the moment it has all blue silicon pipes to go with the black ones so i will write down measurements before i fit them and get some red versions as i get the money haha

I was planing to wait till next year to sort out all this but it just doesn't seem to come out at the price i got it so had to take advantage when i could but think i may take my time in painting and all that before fitting as: 1. Im lazy! 2. Want it perfect!

thing is i was thinking about your green wheels just the other day! And if i went green engine i would be copying just like the rest think red and black all over will look good what do you think? That way i don't have to change all the standard pipes but would love and engine bay like yours Gee!!

Oh and update on the carbon fiber.. Its deffo growing on me think i will keep it!

only just see this comment mate i will speak to randy although i doubt he will reply on here as he hasn't been on for ages, its a bailey motorsport one but either way it was thrown in with the intercooler so i'm not bothered wether i use it or not but i've just realised its a BOV type not a recirculating so don't think i will use it

So this arrived today

As said above to rob i doubt i will use the dump valve i might sell it on but dont think its worth much to me honest

So as you can see the black pipes are looking a bit sorry for them self's so i gave them a good prep set about painting them up (in a normal temp room this time so the paint worked lol)

so they are starting to look good

they will all dry to a matte finish a bit like the top of the one on the left

ive bagged the two pipes that go over the top of the engine ready to take to work in the morning as i have a wire brush i can attach to my drill and clean them up really good as i want a perfect finish on them ones

if i had the money you would have pm right now lol think i will just cap off the little pipe for now until i decide what to do or may do the relocation with the original DV dunno yet but you will have pm as soon as i can afford it haha

Thanks! a little undecided on what overall colour i want everything to be in the bay i really want red rocker, manifold and silicon pipes but this come with blue pipes and a friend of mine has a load of blue stuff from his old vrs that i may be able to get cheap so may go blue rocker and manifold

I may put the FMIC on hold for a little while as i might get hold of a BAM intake manifold so i can run it a different way but im a little un sure just yet volvomeg told me what was needed as he did the same to his for the same reason i need to have a proper look into it today

Was doing some bits under the bracket on the manifold knowing how easy they can be to snap i made sure it was all detached correctly and then as i was pulling my hand out my jumper got caught on it and snap it was gone :( thought i might be able to plastic weld it back together but its so brittle its just crumbling so new one on order and its all capped off for now

so an update..

Fitted the new dipstick tube after i was a dipstick breaking it

this turned up today

now to start with paint and still to finish off painting up the intercooler pipes cant wait to get it all together!
