Where to get a two-button remote key case for a 2002 Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi all,

We've managed to damage the casing on the remote key for our 2002 Fabia by closing the boot door onto it! Doh!. The unlock works fine, but the lock button only works after giving the key a bit of a shake. I'm pretty sure the electronics are fine. It's the two button rigid type (not a flip key) like the one in the attached picture.

I took it apart and the circuit board is held in by plastic "rivits" so I can't get to the switch side to see what's actually broken. Before I dismantle this further and cause further damage, I want to buy a replacement rear casing section. The front bit with the metal key and transponder is fine. The rear bit is a bit mashed.

Anyone know where I can buy one from?

Thanks

Ant

I got a replacement on eBay, I ended up just getting a complete key, and swapped the key and chip over and hey presto. As my buttons went dodgy.

Bought my last key casing off ebay and no problems at all.

Was nice and cheap too.

I've seen those style casing going pretty cheap. We have one key like yours and a flip key for ours.
