Cool

In other news, the met office forecast has changed now to sunny/cloud all day, but no rain! [fingers crossed]

I think tomorrow I will stick the track wheels on. :D

  • Enjoyed today, will give myself a push to get on track next time. I should of hopefully managed to get a picture of everyone. First time shooting any moving vehicles so could do with some improvemen

  • Why do we all do these events ? For the most part it's the chance to get together with other like minded Skoda fans. And also the chance to explore the speed thrill and handling of your chosen ride. W

ffs that means i'll have to take my track wheels with me now then (wasn't going to as the weather wasn't looking too good, and can't drive down on them after monday's fun at combe as the fronts are no longer road legal :().

My track wheels are just about road legal still. Could be interesting after the session but 15 minutes won't do much. I'll take the chance - probably stick a couple of my superlegs in just in case I need to swap after. Even in the slight damp, they outperform Yoko Parada Spec II by some way. (They have Kuhmo V70A tyres fitted)

^^^ It's getting serious... :D

I have a bit of life left in the front 888's, so i'll prob get them swapped from side to side, as it's only the inside half of the tyres thats worn down on them.

But once there done, I think I will have to find something a bit harder wearing.

The 888's were pretty good in the wet on the last trackday I did though.

My V70A are hard compound and I've done half a trackday on them and I barely even wore off the residual bits of rubber left on them from the time the previous owner used them. But they grip well and warm up fine too. I'm also tempted to bring the nitrous for a giggle....

My 888's have done 3 trackdays now, the first 2 were coldish days and hardly touched them, but on monday it was warm(er) and they aren't legal anymore lol.

I hope it doesn't rain, i have Toyo Proxes T1-Rs all round and apparently they're ****e in the wet!!!! :D

Just thought, I have a helmet I bought from Lidl for this, so if anyone would like to borrow it, I'll bring it with me. It's XL I think, I even splashed out £2.50 on a Briskoda.net sticker for it :p

I might borrow this if you don't mind and if my head actually fits in it. :)

Yea will have to take it easy. Suffering with oil surge as I can carry so much more speed through corners with the diff.

time for a baffled sump?

You're becoming an outcast.

At least I know how you and Gary feel. ;)

Jason, have you got any Brisky stickers like the banners I had done?

I did get some off you last year, but I need more...

+1 I could do with some more Briski Stickers too.

Jason......just a reminder....FLAGS, POLES, BUNTING etc...have you found them yet? :bandit: :sun:

Is my car the least powerful car going?

Is my car the least powerful car going?

What you running??

Edit: 105tsi Monte. Not sure what everyone else is running power wise TBH. The Pope mobile is only 105bhp......well was 105bhp LOL

Haha so far its a yes then :(

Haha so far its a yes then :(

Power is not the most important thing.

Your Monte is fairly light (maybe 15-20% lighter than a mk1 vrs) and if you can drive it well you may worry a few people. :)

Nom nom nom

Postman just delivered another birthday present just in time.....

I'll bring what I have, along with the banner & frame. I'm also bringing up a PD bottom end, so the car is going to be quite weighed down. :D

As ballast for the Mongrel or just in case you need to make some minor repairs?

Its all been happening whilst I have been away at work, dropping out, weather reports and the like, all that is left to say is bring it on!

See you all there.

Nearly time. :)

Just sorting out the cameras.

SimonK24, ilmore and Jonny5ive, don't forget a blank micro SD card. Preferably 8gb+.

Otherwise I'll have to send you the footage rather than you be able to take it home on the day.

Looking forward to this.
