That's good news, (recalling the day at near by Hullvington airfield track day when Yellow Peril split a slicone turbo to intercooler hose within the first five laps; turns out that a tractor radiator bottom end hose from a local argricultural spares counter was actually a pretty good fit )

I should be there, although I will be taking my Pug 106 Rallye. Don't worry I won't park it near the Skoda stand

If I get any good snaps I will post them up. I must get more organised and actually get on track at one of these events.

Well aloud myself the day off, spent the last 3hrs cleaning and polishing,

And it's just started to rain!

Will be leaving around 6am to get there for around 8.30am.

Car cleaned. Tyres fitted and fluid levels checked. Going to ask the wife to polish my helmet tonight and then I'm all sorted !

TBH, I think Castle Combe are letting themselves down a bit by letting these 'cruise' style clubs come in with their lowered and bodykitted up ****boxes... Its not what these days are about. When I first starting going to these days about 5-6 years ago there were no clubs like this showing!

Yep, just got mine cleaned and while I was waiting for a tankful of this new fancy shell fuel (still 99RON) it absolutely pished down.

Oh well.

Yeti now cleaned twice 5 days :p and twice I haven't polished the car as both times it's rained. Aiming to be at CC around 8:00 so will leave about 7:45 as its only down the road.

Out of curiousity does anyone have a 4GB (or above) SD card (not SDHC) I could borrow? My ageing digital camera spits out SDHC cards in disgust and only have a 2GB card otherwise :(

My car is loaded - actually hell of a lot! PD engine bottom end, all the promo stuff, four wheels (decided to change wheels there due to possible tread issue) plus other bits still to go in!

Managed to give the car a quick clean and clay the worst bits. Hasn't been cleaned since before the last track day. Looks respectable enough but I'll do a full detail in a fortnight's time when I'm off. Need a full day ideally. Checked pressures which were all oddly spot on and I haven't checked for months. Checked the oil also fearing the worst given it's been well over a month since the last check and it hasn't moved from it's mark. Still have to setup my GoPro again and I may take my tablet to log my laps but haven't decided yet.

I swapped my front 888's around on the rims to try and get some use of the good part of the tread.

Got the albainian's down the road to wash the car (it actually has a shine to it for once).

Fingers crossed my brakes don't fail on track tomorrow

I am ready, car has been washed by the local east europeans and fuelled up. As long as it stays dry it should still be reasonably presentable when I arrive at Combe.
