Yep - Trying to do maths, but you've paid £12 for an entry ticket for yourself, so to upgrade, is £18 extra, and the extra ticket still counts, so £42 ending up being paid in total.....[i think, I am an accountant, honest!]

What time/ route were you taking Bossfox? Wouldn't mind a little convoy

I go North round the M25, but some of the Essex and Kent guys (and others maybe) usually meet up on the M4 at a petrol station.

There are three BP garages on the M4 before you get to Combe.

I know this as last time I visited all of them looking for super unleaded to top the tank off, but I wouldn't put BP stuff in as the octane rating is too low.

All you need for clubstand only is one ticket per adult @ £12 + 60p postage. Doesn't matter if its 1 car, 5 people, or 5 cars, 1 in each - just need an entry ticket in to the venue, and thats your day's entertainment (barring cost for food, etc)

I have four new BBS wheels on the Golf I have just acquired, they will fit the Fabia, so on track I am guessing the part worms with 4-5mm on them will be better than full tread as per the theory racing cars use slicks. Question is how fast would one scrub a set of tyres on the track?

Not much in 15 minutes - as in "perhaps" the same wear as 500 miles of normal driving?

Are you sure the tyre size is right though! Golf usually has bigger profile tyres

Well, I did this to the meganes nearly new tyres last time in 15 mins.

Admittedly I was powering too hard through corners and scrubbing speed through my tyres. That and the car had an appetite for rubber.

Our session is 15mins. You'll get 6-7 laps if your lucky.

215-40-17 on the golf wheels and 205-40-17 on the Fabtastic, will fit a treat on BBS CH rims too.

I will use these wheels at Oulton Park a week on Saturday, all day open pit lane, not sure if tyres will wear out before the oil runs out lol. I have bought 5 litres of oil so I can top up, I am thinking if I take an oil filter too and spin it on at the end of the day and will have had an oil service lol

I've never seen a car work it's tyres harder than the French thing.

I didn't have hardly any wear on mine. No more than a weeks driving anyway.
