  • Enjoyed today, will give myself a push to get on track next time. I should of hopefully managed to get a picture of everyone. First time shooting any moving vehicles so could do with some improvemen

  • Why do we all do these events ? For the most part it's the chance to get together with other like minded Skoda fans. And also the chance to explore the speed thrill and handling of your chosen ride. W

Mine will be 350bhp odd if I bring the NOS, which is unlikely, so I'll probably be running in 320-325bhp (hopefully) form.

Car goes off the road on Saturday for the new hybrid turbo.

Fooking hell jase !! So he is 325-325 normally now is he :)

Ive somehow missed something :D

I thought the mongrel was 270 lol

I feel quite inadequate now with a virgin fabia I will bring up the rear or be a moving chicane for you guys with warp drives...

James, you'll be fine. Its not a race. I'll stick close to you in the line up before the pit lane if possible as I'm keen to see how the VRoomster compares to a standard fabia

TBH it's not a pi**ing contest, it's a fun day out.

Most of the cars will be stock or lightly tuned.

Last April I had the Yeti out when it was two months old, got overtaken by two tuned mkI Fabs and overtook about seven other people. :)

I dont care really, going for some good fun

It's not a race so just concentrate on good lines, braking and enjoying the car how it was supposed to be used. I only overtook 4 or 5 last time and this largely depends on where they let you out

I am looking forward to it, I have the Oulton Park event coming up on the 9th, been getting some insurance quotes for this as it is a long day! Moris at £93 are about the best so far, I have also bought some better brake pads for this also.

CC event will be more of a short break from the kids as only me and the missus are going.

I am really interested to see how 325bhp transmits through the front wheels. We are in Feb now so not long to wait.

What you do is use the power appropriately. You won't see me tyres screeching on full boost going through camp corner, but I will give it death past the pit wall once the corner is out the way! :D

Not many places left to fill and not many weeks to wait until we are at CC, hope we can fill the gaps with Skoda's, if we can't will we stay at the numbers we have or will you offer it to other makes?

Also as I have never done a track event, do you leave TCS on or do you turn it off?

This might be of interest..

I turn mine off generally but at the pace I'll be going (which won't be all-out) I won't notice much difference with it off or on. :)

I have people waiting in the wings from this site who have non-Skodas, who have been before, and I will offer places if I don't fill them all by say middle of March.

"unlimited"

I'm really hoping we don't have anyone rolling a Fiat before we're due to go out again. :D

Filling up nicely and hopefully it will just be a Briskoda members session.

Its looking that way and I know at least one more person who simply hasn't got his act together and booked on (but I've hassled him on facebook!)

Yes, even if we are short of Skodas it's better to have other car owning Brisky members than people we don't know off pistonheads. (IMO)

Mind you, Jason has always managed to find sensible drivers to make up the spaces.

Always made it very clear to outsiders what goes down and what is expected, and so far 100% success rate on finding the right sorts away from this site.

It doesn't help the odd time when a random Corsa appears in our session though, but sometimes that's just the way the cookie crumbles occasionally.

I think we had a random Mazda 2 seater in the session in September. :D

I had a Polo in front of me. I'd prefer even if there's a few non Skoda that they are at least from here. At least there's half a chance they will be sensible

Just teasing you Jason that's all! I'll be there, (hopefully not square in a wall).

Getting some new Brembo HP Sport pads tomorrow, can't find any reviews of them so going to give them a go. Half the price of DS2500's. Think I have melted my current pads :S not confidence inspiring on track at Cadwell was it Jase?!

They weren't the best, but I think your moments of "losing the back end" were better, ;) Thankfully without me being in the car. ;)

Seriously though to anyone who wants to come, that hasn't been on before, it's a really good way to pop your track cherry. Most of the cars are of a similar power, which helps as you shouldn't get caught out by something rapidly appearing in your rear view mirror (oh wait......maybe one or two ;))

I always feel comfortable when out on track with the Brisky folk, we are all usually very well behaved!

I am definately interested however! My contract doesnt allow me to take my CitiGo out on track.

As many of the South East lot know, I now also own a Alfa 156 2.5 V6....

If you open it to Non-Skoda Briski Members I will definately be interested Going!
