Ok no real updates to report on, I have fitted the cold air ducts (and as usual forgot to take pics), although tbh i'm not sure that the way i've had to fit them is good enough, and I fully expect there to be holes / tears in the ducting next time I jack it up and remove a wheel, as there is so little space in the arch's that clearance is a real issue.

 

Anyway went out with a few mates last night, and managed to get a couple of shots of the car (the static pictures were taken in pitch black).

 

Sadly the only wheels I have with legal tyres are the 18" RS4 rims which I really dislike (much prefer the 17" S3 and TT rims I have).

I ordered some of these however there on backorder so not sure when they will arrive.

 

I also ordered some of these from Awesome GTI, ordered them sunday and they arrived this morning

 

Took me about 10 mins to fit, as the original bushes in the cable ends were foooooooooooooooked and near enough fell out when I pushed them with a screwdriver.

 

Not driven the car yet, but feels much better even when stationary.

 

I have also ordered a set of Silverline camber adjustable topmounts, but they won't be here for about a month.

Nah not that loud inside.

 

I will get around to removing the sound deadening at some point, then it might get a bit louder.

Baffled sump finally fitted, absolute bitch to do, due to 1 of the 2 bolts hidden behind the flywheel deciding not to undo with a 5mm ball socket allen key and rounding itself off instead.

 

After 3 hours it finally came out, using a cheap and nasty 1/4 drive socket that was about to round itself off as the bolt came loose (the socket was about half the height of the halfords professional 1/4 10mm socket).

 

Anyway got it all back together, and then managed to pour about 1/2 a litre of fresh Fuchs Titan Race Pro S all over the rocker cover

 

Car smells nice now lol

I'm thinking it's time to get decals sorted out now, but no idea what I want.

 

Just need the car to look more like a track car, and less like a stripped out road car I think.

Yes I know mate, but even stickers are not cheap, when there full sized car, size :(

Is it possible to buy the OEM sticker kit for the Fabia 2000 and make some of it fit?

 

 Personally I think your car looks good in a stealthy silver, stickers would draw attention and of course add weight

If weight was a worry i'd not be on track, let alone in an octy lol, more weight = more downforce

 

Tbh the car seems to get attention as it is, but I want it to look more agressive and I think it needs decals to do that.
