How Fast are Briskoda #3 - 1st June

Featured Replies

If we do keep it 100% Skoda then Andy won't win.

He took it to Cadwell last year, his car got quick glance off the others to mutters of "it is an escort with a big wing" Off out to the circuit and within three laps he had reeled in and past the R8 and the GTR, returned to the paddock to a lot of people who had a genuine interest in his escort with a big wing!

It is an ex works car so you can imagine the performance.

  • Right, after my annoyance at the organisers' letting us out at Combe, and wishing to at least have a truly 100% brisky session along with a smidge of tracktime desire, I'm up for this. Won't be a work

  • We've had the practice times, we've had the hot lap times, now we have possibly the most important table of all (for obvious reasons), the improvement between practice and hot lap times 01. +5.317 -

He'll have good bragging rights beating a bunch of Skodas then. :giggle:

Well i have booked up as per above, Thought i would check out the MSV web page and found the leaderboard section.

I see the fastest estate car time is set by a Subaru Legacy @ 1:38.40.

Thats going to be my target and go for the fastest estate time if possible.

M12MKD has already done a 1:38.7 in his mk2 Octy estate diesel so you should be able to claim that crown pretty easily

What would people say a good time is around this track??.... i have never been before.

Craig.

For reference though the fastest lap ever is a 1:08

Fastest Skoda is BossFox in his Yeti in a 1:36

You found the leaderboard once - i'm sure you can find it again and pick out any car/figure you want :)

Just booked up my hotel for the friday night @ Queens Head in Milton Ernest.

Any one else stopping here?...

It completely depends on the car.

Last year (as Pasty said) I did a 1:36.09 in a diesel Yeti with just a remap.

Stock brakes, suspension and tyres.

Driving it to give everything it had though, I don't think I could have gone much any faster.

As your car is more suited to cornering and more highly tuned I'd expect you to go several seconds quicker than my 2012 Yeti.

Aim to go quicker than 1:34.

Indeed they don't call me Captain Slow for nothing! I'll book in next week as I'm off work it's easier for me to call them.

Silly Question, the hour and a half, i know its all one session, but i take it you can enter and go from pits as please on to track?

During the practice hour you can go on and off track from the pits as much as you like.

Then you are put in order and line up in the pits to go out one at a time for the flying laps.

Hang on I thought Harry was there in his KO4 vRS. Last year!!!!!! And he was beaten by a yeti lol. I have did he get lost....

It was wet for the first event sy hence Harry's slow time.

Brimma gained 7 second between events and was faster at event 2 in the dry than Harry was in the wet.

In the same way that bossfox was 7 seconds faster in his yeti in the dry than in his mental Fabia VRS SE in the wet

No, he had a car sending lots of power to the wrong end... in the wet.

Yeti Rules! :D

Pah fwd is perfectly good in the wet, you just drive it differently

Looks like we need Harry back for round 3... :sun:

I hope we can get more than ten for this event. I have just called MSV and registered for the day, so see you all there.
