Man, I would be p1ssed if that happened to me..............

I was nursing that bad boy for 888 odd miles to have it ruined, I was not best pleased I can tell you. I stopped in the space it was all looking promising to time it perfectly to get a good clear picture, I thought I had cracked it but only realised AFTER I took the picture......

This is not the picture I posted originally, someone suggested I should edit it to show BIG speed to see how long before a troll appeared condemning it, hence the when you look at it twice dodgy looking '2' as it was a '2' off another pic from the 1/2 mark on fuel gauge. The '1' for 15mpg is the 1 from 1900 at top. I was thinking someone would twig the '2' is wrong and lighter. This did put my MS Paint skills to the test I might add! But since no one decided to bite I might as well show the original pic I posted lol.

I should have some pics on a hard drive somewhere of an old Xantia dash pod I replaced, clocked old one to all the 9's I think and left it on top shelf of work station.

UPDATE!

My next target has been achieved the longest in the making having to work out when I needed to reset trip and work out to the tenth of a mile what odo reading was, with in a 1/10th of a mile window at the right mileage I hit the trip reset and waited for a while.

Day before yesterday I went out for a drive that would last 25 hours and nearing its end the time was approaching I had left motorway and was just at a roundabout that leads to a twisty country road so there would be no place to stop, I looped back on myself and like a boss timed it to flick over when I was at a 100 meter long lay by off roundabout. Cat flicked over a cars length after leaving roundabout.

And without much sleep here she is!

Proof of above and that it was taken all nice and safely tucked into a layby. Car is minging covered in crap :(

I just reset the trip today in the Berb as it clicked on to 88,000 miles so roll on 88,888 888.8 but I've only got 14 days to do it cos it goes back to the lease firm on 31 May and the New Octy III is currently waiting at Grimsby for a lift to the dealer!

I just reset the trip today in the Berb as it clicked on to 88,000 miles so roll on 88,888 888.8 but I've only got 14 days to do it cos it goes back to the lease firm on 31 May and the New Octy III is currently waiting at Grimsby for a lift to the dealer!

The Superb went back before hitting the magic number! Will have to see what I can come up with on the new one!
