  • Ta da. This happened this afternoon, I'm very pleased it.     Luckily I was able to pull off the main road and stop at the right time. My Maths was obviously right when I reset the trip.

  • I had to do this once I realised it was possible.............(i.e. I hadn't passed the mileage yet, so could reset the T1):

  • TaDa     As you can see I've dusted too! :p

:o should have had odometer on display :D I am planning to reset my trip soon for the exact same shot, but with an extra 8.

I had 8989 989.8 on the way home but was only doing 79mph so didn't bother. ;)

I quite like how the trip counter reads higher than the odometer on one of mine

Update, I hit 88000 miles tonight on way back and pressed trip reset but as I was in the hidden top secret menus the button was not in trip reset mode and as I frantically tried to exit the modules it clicked over to 88001 :( will try for 88.8 on trip instead lol

I just passed 33,000 today but resisted the urge to reset on this occasion!

Absolutely gutted -- jumped in a coach this morning and found the tacho showing 888,891.4km.............. All the 8's would have made a cracking photo.

Mike

I am sure I have a couple of my old cars on 88888, no idea where the pics would be now though :( A Xsara and a 406 I think.  Only 800K off lol

I set mine for 12345 and trip 678.9 but was late and missed the whole thing    :swear:

Been there, done that! :(

I am still on track for all the 4's but I suspect it will happen on a trip I am making next week and will possibly not have anywhere to time it to stop :(

Saw this on the sat nav the other day too, it's catching the car up :D

No was a could of years ago on autobahn I used to live 30 min from the nearest autobahn for the last 3 years.

What were you driving to get that speed? Pretty impressive MPG figure too.

Mike

Was when I first got my ZZR1200, I put my sat nav in tank bag but battery was low and it cut out at 160mph, it should have been a fair bit higher  :(

MPG was a cold engine start all B roads and A roads 57 miles through 7 towns. The 13 year old Octy runs on the tears of squirrels as Clarkson would say :D

Recently my garmin showed a top speed of 153 mph (impressive as I was driving my 1.2TSI leon at the time) after it threw a wobbly on a roundabout and the display went mental continued to spin around despite the fact that I had exited the roundabout

I was so close to boobs, then missed the actual mileage ffs.

Boobz will have to do.cd28b90fdc984c854ebfb3c33b1d6322.jpg
