Wiring/ stereo balance issues?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm new here but i did a search around and didn't find anything on this.

I've recently found that my speakers work fine when playing the radio. However, when I plug into play my mp3 player, all the speakers on the left hand side stop working.

I've looked to see if there is some specific balance setting on the radio and the mp3 player and can't find one.

Is it possible that there is a bad wire somewhere or am I missing something else?

thanks in advance

Hi, and welcome to Briskoda. :)

Have you checked the lead that runs between the mp3 and the socket?

Process of elimination, check the MP3 player with headphones, if OK try a different lead from the MP3 player to the aux socket and if you still only get one channel then there could be an issue with the Aux socket wiring or input on the head unit.

It is also worth making sure that you are getting the lead all the way in at both ends.
