Iv had the same issue with my Vrs tires, rears were very noisy,got the 4 wheel alignment done with the new setting from Skoda , All good now no more noise.

My Question -

CAN ANYONE tell me when this revision came into effect and who published it ?

I have just called SKoda UK and the customer desk never had a clue.

The dealer I went to are working on the old values - before I have a go I need to be armed with the right info.

On this subject, does anyone know anywhere near Sheffield / Rotherham / Workshop or even a bit further away that have the proper equipment to do this, and actually know how to use it properly, and know what they doing when making adjustments to the car?

Most of the places that have the equipment tend to be tyre places, so you end up with tyre fitters doing the job and in most cases I'd feel more comfortable letting a chimp do it.

Try Wingerworth tyres near Chesterfield. Not sure if it is a Hunter rig, but they do toe and camber on all 4 corners on a computerised 3d rig which sounds very similar to a hunter. I used to get my minis set up there 25 years ago ..........

The first place I tried would only use the info supplied in their manual, despite me taking in the revised Skoda setting data.

The place I eventually used went online to the rig manufactures for the settings info - they said. The same as I gleaned from here.

Depending on the cars age & history the rusting may be covered under the Skoda anti corrosion warranty

car is an 06 and hasnt got a full skoda history, sill caused by stonechips damaging paint then salt getting in and rusting it.

when i say salt it gets (sorry "got" i ll explain later) covered in road salt most days of the year i worked at a mine where we mined it and stored it on site thats also why underneath is pretty seized up now as well.

as for the got ive just left that job so the car will no longer go there it just has to sit waiting for me now for 3 weeks whilst im in the middle of the north sea!

I had the car independently looked at today - an ex skoda master technician.

He immediately spotted this torn bush on the front.

" SKODA " should never have tracked this up - complete waste of time.

He's right. That will allow the steering geometry to change as you go down the road. BMW E46 3 series are bad for this. Mine was awful until I renewed the them.

Get the offset super pro polybush ones then you can adjust castor til your hearts content.

Yes, complete waste of time. No point having an alignment done with a bush in that state.
