Washer leak in a different area! help appreciated

Featured Replies

Hi there, leaks seem rather common at the moment but I believe mine is in an area that isn't listed as being typical ( might this be a washer) or am I going to replace this part (which I do not know the name of) as you can see I barely know anything about the car but am keen to try and solve as much as I can myself with the help of the forum.

any help will be much appreciated.

I have attached a red arrow in the exact location of the leak, it doesn't seem to be where the pipe pushes in but rather the plastic area in front of it.

thanks again,

Pete

I can't see any way that can be anything other than a split in the tank itself. It should be possible to get another one (or shards of same) from a scrappie, and carry out some plastic welding, if I'm right.

thanks for the reply, seems the leak is coming from the joint on the actual washer motor, when I pulled it apart I noticed the O ring washer inside wasn't in the best shape and so i'm going to pop a new O ring on and see if that fixes the problem :-)

Popped a new washer inside and did it work, nope! Back to the drawing board...leak is definitely coming from this valve though!
