Because over here criminals often clone ( copy) a cars identity by putting the registration plates of a unstolen car on to one they have stolen. This can cause major problems with proving that speeding and parking fines do not belong to the innocent owners car

Does anyone know if you can retract the electric mirrors whilst the engine is running?

I am interested in this too... What about the key if you keep pressed the close doors button? I know you should be able to open windows from there, maybe also the mirrors.

Does anyone know if you can retract the electric mirrors whilst the engine is running?

If you turn the mirror control all the way counter-clockwise they will retract.

I tried turning the mirror control but it doesn't appear to do anything, I've just read the manual again and it says you should be able to do it at upto 50 so I'll have to play with it again tomorrow

12GB of data is nothing - I can pull that down in around 30 minutes.

My lovely ivory drivers seat is starting to show some dye marks, transferred from my black leather belt, any ideas of how to clean it?

Oh no, can't believe you didn't get a matching beige (ivory?) belt! (no apologies for Yorkshire humour :giggle:) I used to use Autoglym Leather Care Balm on the Superb's seats, not sure if it will clean off your belt stain but it used to lift off some grime from my seats!

Lol I just can't find a matching ivory belt anywhere, Matt! 4 days to go before it goes to the body shop for the door respray !

After a month in ECO mode I tried sport for the first time.... Love the accelerator response!! Steering is also much better, it doesn't feel heavier as I expected but is much more direct, taking out the vagueness that ECO and normal have.

Isn't there a 4th, customisable, option? So you could have ECO or Normal engine with Sport steering weight? That's what I was thinking of trying when I get mine. Forget what it's called. Individual?

Yes there is and I'll definately what I'll be setting up from now on.

I've also been playing around with individual and like the sport steering with normal throttle and normal aircon best, the full eco mode around Sheff does not seem to gain much benefit over normal due to the bloody hills and the summer rain in eco mode makes the screen mist up too much as it needs more aircon to dehumidify. I do think the eco throttle setting is better on long trips when I can get away from the hills, but will also mix with sport steering and normal aircon.

Well it's D day today for the respray, I'm just about to take the Octy in ...... I wonder what car they'll loan me?

Not played around much yet with the driver modes - tried the economy setting briefly but couldn't put up with it as I felt it made it feel very imprecise and soggy. I think I will set up the individual mode with the sharper throttle response and steering and the air con in normal or economy.

@ Stokey - do hope all goes well with your car.

...it's a Citygo and I like it! It sounded like a lawnmower when cold but improved when it warmed up, but is certainly more vocal than the Aygo we used to own. The ride is much better than the Aygo tho with less road noise and the speakers are much better than the Aygo.

I like trying different cars and look forward to a Citygo, but it may be a shock after A4 servicing - I have twice had fully loaded A6 Avants!  Changing the Drive Select on one of those between Comfort and Sport didn't half change the feel of everything (inc suspension).

Maybe you should start posting pictures, testing everything on it, doing fuel consumption... Like a normal car thread

Are they spraying the whole side? It should be fine when done, after all lot of new cars have had paint before they even reach the dealership.

I don't know how much they're spraying but they're keeping the car for 3 to 4 days
