It's here.. 1.4 Race Blue Elegance Hatch

Featured Replies

The latest VW Golf, Audi A1 and A3 models also only have LED day running lights when bi-xenon lights are fitted.

  • Well after not posting for a few months i thought its about time to give a six month of the 1st briskodian Octy 3. I'm loving the race blue it suits the modern lines of the octy 3 well and I now see

I will start the car and go and look. DRLs don't have to be LEDs

Think there are side/parking lights AND DRLs and dip and main beam.

All halogen

The DRLs are in the main beam section of the headlight. Might even be part of a dual filament bulb with the sidelights.

Would have been nice just to have 2 led strips above the fogs to be honest

I'm still very jealous you have this car already, I want mine sooooo badly!

Generally it is marvellous, smooth refined, great build quality. I had the pd vrs which is rougher than the cr engine, but even so the difference is massive. Great toys as well, sat Nav, dab, auto lights, high beam assist, etc.

Still haven't worked out how to trigger the auto wipers, or how to change the dipped headlights for extreme plus 100s

If they are like the Berb, you just leave the wiper stalk on the first setting and use the rocker on top of the stalk to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor that sits behind the rear view mirror. The rocker has about 4 settings, with the furthest left being least sensitive  Not sure what you mean about the dipped beam?

I thought you had to turn them on/off via the infotainment system, I know with the Columbus you are able to, if I were you I would mess around with the settings and see what options you can find!

Ur the second to go from a Vrs back to standard octavias. I couldn't do it to be honest, would u not have waited for the new Vrs coming out? I'd be kicking myself but that's just me maybe lol :)

Thank you

1st Mk3 Octavia Briskodian

for sharing the photos. I chose this color too but I could not see it in person. Just in pictures. I have a different interior because it's black with black and of course the left steering wheel :D

Can't wait to see mine. But quick question because I will not know what to check for when it comes. What do I have to ask for because I see you asked for the SD card? Is this in the package?

The SD card holds the navigation data, the dealers have to order it when they place an order for the car. As mine was the first Octy 3 to be handed over the salesman didn't know this so I had to ask for it!

Everyone to their own, but I certainly don't regret it for a moment :)

I was using my old vrs on company business and charging the company the approved milage rate, but it was costing me a lot to run the car.

The elegance has been leased as a company car, £313 per month inc maintenance based on 30,000 miles a year over 3 years which is a staggeringly cheap deal

1st Mk3 Octavia Briskodian thank you for all the pictures posted. Now I could see the color I ordered because the dealer here did not have a real car painted in racing blue. I have 2 questions if you don't mind. I ordered the 1.4 TSI with manual gearbox, Elegance with some options.

1. Will I have led daylights if I did not order the xenon kit? Are there the 2 C's in the stop lights

with leds?

2. Will I receive the SD card or you only reffered to the map SD card? (because I did not order the nav version)

Hi Harkonnen

No you will not have LED daytime running lights if you did not order xenon lights. You only get a SD card ( with navigation data on) if you order the sat nav. You will get a SD slot in the glovebox however for music .

I just love the color on your car stokey.

Just ordered the same color last Saturday, but mine is an 1,8 tsi 4x4 DSG estate. Just cant wait till I get it, too bad they haven't started producing it yet tho.. :(

"Expected delivery August/September"

Please share some more photos if you have.. :)

That is a very nice specification Kabe, when you re fuel it, only fill it half full. That way you'll get to drive it more :)

Not far of.. 430.000 NOK = 48.239 GBP

And the sad part it that it is real good value for this car... Taxes alone are almost 16.000 GBP

I take it you tend to keep cars for a long time then in Norway?

At least I am keeping my new car as long as possible, or else it would be to expensive to buy a new car, This will be my second car that I buy new, normally people buy 2-5 year old cars here.

My other Octavia 2008 cost me almost 40.000 GBP new, and now, I could maybe get 20.000 GBP if I am lucky. So the smart thing is to keep it. But I don't mind keeping my old car, it still looks "new" inside and still runs as good as new.. :)
