oil quality sensor in Superb II

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

Is there exists in the Superb II 2.0 CR TDI DPF year 2010 engine oil quality checker sensor?

(Engine code is CFFB)

As I heard, there are more sensors which checking more engine related parameters, and able to display warning message to need to go to the service prior than the prescribed service period. (30000km)

I don't think there is an oil quality sensor as such, there is an oil level sensor and oil pressure switch.

The car can calculate oil quality by monitoring the driving parameters (engine load etc) and this determines the distance to next service if variable service interval is enabled. I seem to recall that there is a measuring block in the engine computer that describes the oil quality but I don't know how this is calculated.

The default service interval is 15,000km for oil changes however mine is currently hovering somewhere around 28,000km. In my market (Australia) Skoda does not support variable service interval so I expect that at the first service (15,000) they will change it back to time and distance.

Download and read the Self Study Program below which explains the various elements involved in monitoring the extended setvice interval. Different components may be involved now but the principle is the same as when it was first introduced.

Hello

Thank you of your replies!

In Hungary Skoda does support the extended (variable) service interval.

I would like to use my car a possible longest time, so I go to oil change every 15000km. The clean oil is very important for the turbo charger.

I don't know the factory made oil filter how will it to behave after 15000km. The efficiency of filter will be decrease or not.
