Well, finally managed to pick up the mighty Estate!

Picked it up middle of the last week, all i can say really is WOW!

Even running it in as its planned as a keeper, so treating it nice for the moment, nothing too harsh as to the way its driven.

 

You can just feel the power it has on tap, its smooth, so easy to drive, does not feel like a vehicle pushing on towards 5m long.

Must say the reversing sensors are very accurate, never had them before, but they along with the display showing how far the object is from the rear, its easy to park when getting used to the vehicle.

 

The uprated sound system is a big hit! well worth the additional money, lots of extra bass but without being chavvy, really like the way it does not intrude on the boot area.

 

Will be looking to get a few items changed within the system to allow for the said mods stated in VCDS adaptions.

 

Had a lot of friends i know comment on how nice the car looks, its a great looking vehicle from any angle, people can't believe how nice the standard wheels look, imo, they are the nicest style for the Vrs.

 

Its nice having one of the Vrs only colours, makes it stand out i think, not every ones taste, but, i like it, a lot.

 

450-500 miles in, and all is well, will be interesting to see when its all loosens up and can get a bit more time to have a play with the power on tap. This ones not so much of a sleeper as the previous Vrs was Silver, surprised quite a few people as some did not know what it was.

 

Still on the first tank of Diesel, seems the average fuel consumption is showing anything from 52-58MPG, will be interesting to what the true figure is once it has been filled up, mixture of short runs and longer runs, all done in sport mode, max RPM used at any time although briefly up through the gears is 2700-2800rpm. A few runs of 70MPH on some dual carriageway, so its had a good mix of driving areas. Sits at 1900-2000rpm in 6th @ 70MPH.

 

If you have a Vrs on order, it IS worth the wait, hang on in there, you won't be disappointed!

    Finally picked mine up yesterday!! Very impressed with it.....Vrs 2.0 TSi hatch, pearl black with black pack, winter pack, vrs leather seats with grey stitching, sunset glass.

    Love it to bits!!

    Third Octy and the best yet.  Arrived on the back of a truck from Nottingham, one hour early, with a great driver, Graham from Logistical Support.  It's a 2.0  Ltr Elegance estate, metal grey, Kessy, Bi-exons, Intelligent parking assistant, Adaptive cruise control, together with all the goodies that come as standard, I'm not quite sure why I'm sat in the drivers seat.

    Hmmm.  Something's gone awry here (not sure how) but we were up to nearly 100 on the list a few pages back. Now we're down to 35.

     

    Anyone fancy putting this straight?  I have no patience for doing such things  :notme:

    I am now part of the Škoda family. Picked up my 2.0 TDi Elegance estate in Laser White. I've added Xenon front lights, LED rear lights, Power Boot, Spare Wheel and the three spoke steering wheel. Very happy so far. Have fitted a rearguard for the top of the bumper and the chrome VW key tip. Other subtle mods to follow.

    2.0 CD Elegance. Moon white, KESSY, sunset, Power boot, DVD nav, Canton. Arrives on the 20th. . Whoop

    My Candy White vRS Hatch arrived yesterday. Sat Nav, Flat Bottom Steering Wheel with vRS Badge. vRS Mode button and it beeps when I lock/unlock it!  :clap:

    Very cool car and lots of positive comments from admirers so far. Specially like the noise in Sports mode!!

    Ha, yeah, maybe a little vague as an analogy... I was alluding to the fact that the sound you hear in a vRS in sports mode is actually from the sound generator, not the engine. So it's not the real thing - hence Playboy mag vs. Playboy bunny. I'm not a fan of the sound generator - totally don't understand why anyone would want to have a fake engine noise pumped into the car.  Anyhoo, a little obscure, if I could delete the post I would!

    Got my O3 VRS TDi Race Blue black pack leather and a few other options!

    Came 8wks early but well happy with car but not wife as she keeps taking it due to the higher mileage she runs to and from work!

    At least I have got the O2 FL Scout to fall back on which is no bad thing.

    must say big step up in overall quality of new O3 compared to O2 6th Skoda between myself and wife and can't see anything on the horizon to change brands

    Order went in yesterday for a 2.0 Black Edition. Should be 2-3 weeks. It's going to be a long wait.
