Galaxy Note 2 and rsap

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!

Glad I found this resource, not so many good forums in sweden for Superb.

I seem to have opposite problem when i connect my phone to the car. It only connects

as handsfree and i want rsap so i can use the cars antenna/phone for better reception.

As it is a swedish car maybe it only has possibility to connect as handsfree, dont know

what unit i have in my car.

The car is 2011 (production around february) whit phone connectivity and bolero stereo.

When connected as handsfree i can call, view missed/recent call, adressbook.

I can stream music (but cant see track name).

If anyone have any idea I would apriciate it :-)

Edit:

Manual says i have GSM II in my car (if i can trust the manual).

Also, is it possible to change the volume on the boing-sound that comes when phone is paierd,

everytime i start the car now it says BOING, very loud. Its annoying.

Best regards

Peter in Sweden

If you do only have GSMII then no you cannot use RSAP, but I do not know for sure what you get in Sweden.

Thanks for the reply.

I kind of suspected that but good you confirmed it.

For the moment i use it as is, only thing i feel i would like to get working is using

the cars antenna instead of phone and steering wheel buttons for change song

in spotify. No big problems.

Maybe later i will look for upgrade gsm-module.

But still, is there nowhere i can change the "BOING"-sound when car connects to phone,

it is really loud?

This BOING sound can be turned off with VCDS. Regarding the your carkit type: There is one way to be sure: look under the passenger seat (that is where the carkit is located) and write down the VAG number on the carkit (should be something which starts with 3T0 or 3C0 or similar). If you post this number here on this forum, there will be many people who are able to tell you which unit this is.

A different way is to look in the phone settings in the maxidot. If it is an RSAP capable unit, there should be an item somewhere where you can switch between "handsfree" and "premium".

Mine uses whatever sound I have set on the phone, a Galaxy S3, which at the moment is a fairly quiet whistle. Although that, I think, comes from the phone no BOING sound at all

I have the whistle sound on the phone, the boing comes from the car speaker.

I will get the vcds next week so i can turn it off there then. Anyone can point me in a direction where i find the code?

I have not found anywhere to change between handsfree and premium, thought that should shown when phone connects.

So from that point it should be clear i dont have rsap.

I will check number this weekend when i have time but are you sure it is under passenger seat, you guys drive on the wrong side :-).

Thanks for all the help :-)
