  • Dan's done an awesome job, over the moon with them and how the colours turned out. If anybody's after any work doing then give dan a shout or like his page on fb. https://m.facebook.com/Dan.Wass.Cus

No worries Si, if you are after a bespoke exhaust I know a guy who makes what you want, he is a first class guy and he also has an extremely fast Beetle, take a look HERE

Cheers Si. What do you recon its worth?

Yes mate go for it :)

I will be looking for something for the `4mo soon too, it sounds so tame it is quite sad!

I have a BMC CDA filter, I might throw that on for a while, I know it will make no difference other than noise but who cares.

It's all about the NOISE on these lol.

Mine came with a cheapo eBay thing and until I can find or get fabricated something else it will be stopping on ;)

that is the same as I had on the GTI MK 3, a flexi pipe with a cone, some super glued on pipes and wires, worked though. I got the CDA on the Lupo we bought for my lad, for insurance reasons we have gone back to a standard air box.

Out of interest where do you get ducting from? I want to run some from the front grill to the hubs to keep the brakes cool, not too sure what to get as I usually just thrash cars and don't worry about it.

I used this on my old vrs and will no doubt be getting some more for this once sorted

The Miltek resonated around 3,200rpm which was the problem. Had to sit on the motorway at 60 or 80. 70 was a no-no!

Got any sound clips dude?

I don't, sorry mate. Was really bloody annoying!

  • Author

No probs dude, I shall YouTube it :)

It sounded really nice going for it, but just sat on the motorway it always gave me a headache.

Found a few clips and they do sound nice. Not sure if I'd de-cat or sports cat prob the cheapest option with it being the best part of £500.

Which tailpipe option did you go for?

It was a twin round one, I think!

Yes, twin round!

Cool stuff!

It fit the cut out ok? That's what I'd go for I think

Yeah, the fit in the cut out was good, standard middle box issues on low cars though, had the pull up the middle box hangers.

Cheers dude.

This'll be going low so I'll have to keep an eye on that.

Its Going into the body shop tomorrow for a weeks holiday ;)

It's due to the way the exhaust is routed over the axle, bit of a pain!

What you having done?

Lights & grille colour coded, rear wiper, badge smoothed & plate recess frenched so it removes the lock & plinth as there not needed because boots dead locked & on a popper in the car.

Once the new tyres are on and it's lowered it's going back to have the rear arches done as there's a bit of rust which split when when we rolled them.

Nice work :D
