Well the bodywork didn't happen.

My mate had too much on so couldn't fit it in between jobs, now decided to wait till I have all the bits sorted and it'll all be done in one hit rather than several trips.

Please do pal, should be sweet! :)

Decided to lower mine today,

Dropped 2" from what it was, hopefully when I've sourced some smaller tyres and rear spacers I can set it all up right and go a bit lower ;)

It will dude just a few bits to source ready :)

Lower!  It must be scraping the floor now!

Nice!

9J dont look as impressive on a mk3 as it does on a mk2 :giggle:

Hows the MPG on the old girl? Single figures i hope.

There's probably another 2" left to go on the coilovers :)

Only scrapage I get is the passenger rear tyre on the bumper as its a diff type of tyre and hasn't got as much stretch as the others.

Nice!

This is true, mk2's do sit well but your biased lol, ideally the offset needs to be et15 on a mk3 but these are et30. Some 15mm spacers on the rear and a bit lower with 195/45's and it should be sweet ;)

Mpg is ok on a decent run (unless you've got the stereo off and your listening to the vr6 note :) )

*Chough* Needs a charger *Cough*

TURBO kit, go on ebay, tuning parts bay, the whole shooting match delivered in two boxes for £599, when you go the page, make a bid and they will accept £599.

My kit turned up today and from the lads at the garage said it is more than adequate for up to 400 bhp, only thing you don't get is head spacer to rduce compression.

You know you need it mate.

I'm torn between the 2 tbh, turbo's got a better scope tuning wise and gives better power but I do love the sound a charger makes :)

Want to sort the bodywork, wheels, stance & a few other bits first and then decide lol

I'll keep an eye on how yours goes James ;)

Turbo is the way forward, the supercharger takes power to give power, I am looking at running a fairly low pressure to start with maybe only 7psi, this will give about 300bhp and will need minimal major upgrades, my long term plane with head spacer is 400, once you go past this then huge brakes will be needed, uprated clutch and it will be a money pit!

So cheap fun and did I mention the 1.6 MATCH badge for the r'send, that will have them guessing lol

What's the quality of the kit like? You got a link :)

it is the one you sent to me on ebay HERE  my kit arrived at Central VW Audi today and the guys say quality is good, obviously not your couple of grand schimmel kit but not made of chocolate either!

I think it will be a good starting point as everything is in the box, as things move on and you drop on bits and bobs I am sure bits will be replaced, intercooler is only small but I am not running 2 bar boost so should be adequate, on first fit I won't be charge cooling anyway.

Now go and buy it now and report back when you have

From what i understand the Superchargers dont need the compression ajusting.

Depending on what style of power gain you are after then depends on which way you go.

i dont like the Kick a turbo gives so would say super charger any day

Turbo or supercharger you can run about 10 psi Max without any compression drop needed, should be good for about 300 bhp so I have been told, any more boost than that and you have to change the compression ratio.

Not looking to mess to much as its a daily so it'll be whatever's reliable :)

Decided to get more of a direct cold air feed to the filter as it tends to get hot under the bonnet!

Not going in the Grille is it? :wonder:

You can get the fog light replacements which look cleaner. :sun:

Removed drivers inner lamp on the twins dude ;)

Where will your main beam light be?

The MK 3 I had ran ducting to the lower part of the grill and up to the air filter cone, it also ran some ducting to the front hubs.
