Our lass hates mine lol

To low and the suspensions to stiff! The kids love it tho haha.

Glad I found the rot while its off the road tbh, at least I can sort it now rather than have to take it bk off the road once its done. I've got a mate coming over one night this week to sort out plating that and getting that stud out for me. Then I can crack on with other bits :)

Steering boss, new repeaters and cold air trumpet thingy for the light should be waiting when I get bk at the weekend ;)

Also been in talks with brite lite LEDs over on fb and he wants me to document all the interior bulbs inc dash/clocks so he can offer a full led interior kit off the shelf :)

Tin worm eradication, and stud removal, you've been busy Si. Looking good now, when will you be back on the road?

I too have been busy and have entered the car in for a competition on Monday, it is called the MOT, so after quite a few weeks I have made all the dash lights stay off long enough to get it through, as long as it doesn't decide differently between now and Monday!

Still a fair bit to do but it all boils down to money now tbh.

Not long been bk into work after being made redundant so other stuff has to come 1st.

Wheels are bk next week hopefully. Then got to wait for the rear shims to be done before I bolt it bk together with new discs, pads & bearings.

I reckon another couple of months yet although I'm hoping sooner

I went for Pagid discs and pads but used Ferodo 2500 just on the front. ECP have some good weekend discount codes on so you can save a good bundle of money.

Like me, you will get there in the end, wherever there is

Yeah I know what you mean.

It'll get there eventually lol

Had to tone down my list a bit as I wanted tarox on the rear to match the fronts but just gonna go plain now.

Interiors back in! Just need to source and fit some decent stereo cabling then that's done.

New wheel centre cour chosen so hopefully they'll be done by next weekend!

How's the Miltek mate?

Tried to stay off this topic for a bit since I felt the need to buy a mk3 and knew I'd get in trouble but couldn't resist another peek.

Also going to look at a mk3 this weekend... Urgh Si you'll have the other half on here soon cursing you when we run out of space on the drive way...

Vr6?........................please say "yes" :)

It's all worth the ear ache believe me lol.

Don't worry, he's got me looking at them too!

I miss my old one :(

You know it makes sense. Yours looked bloody clean aswell!

Cheers - it wasn't that clean, if I'm honest could have done with a full respray. I sprayed in the arches before I sold it, wasn't perfect, but was a pretty tidy job for doing it on my drive! I've got an eBay saved search for Vento VR6's... the odd one pops up, but most are ODB1 crapholes :(

  • Author

Mate of mine has a vento, only 1.8 but its pretty epic. 10j's on the back 8.5's on the front. He wants to vr6 that.

The paint works not mint on this and wants a few bits sorting but that can come at a later date lol

Yes a vr6. 80k on the clock. Being sold due to an unfortunate injury to a friends, cousin's, Dad. So should be legitimate hopefully with no horrible surprises.

If you do it then I'll have too as well because I'll be doubly jealous! :P

Keep us informed.

Good mileage that aswell. Mines on 164k and still pulls like train :)

Totally standard?

You'll be hooked! It's killing me not having this on the road and having to drive our lasses vrs.
