I'll pay £20 if you give me a pax lap of Oulton in under 2 mins if over you give me £20 ? Lol.

Edit . You can't go across the grass or use the short circuit .

not a bad deal Mr Rooney, I was doing 2.35 in a standard MK ii Fabia in very wet conditions, so I reckon Jason might be on for a 2 minute lap.

I timed various cars on a track day and very few got near 2 mins. However I watched a Porsche only track day and two Carera gt's ( the expensive 350k ones) were doing 1.55's with gentlemen drivers wearing chinos and brown broge shoes with pin stripped shirts!

Yeah, I don't think I'll be doing any laps starting 1, regardless of rubber and power used.  I would be happy with a 2, 10, but also, I have never driven the track so have no idea how long it is, and what is deemed a reasonable lap time.

I got Combe down into the ballpark of 1 minute 25 or so, and was chuffed with that.

So, if a 350Z does a 2:06 and I was faster than a 370Z at Bedford, I would hope to be around the 2:05 mark by the end of the day.  Here's hoping.  2.8 miles is a fair old circuit to learn though!  And it sounds like you need to average 83mph to do a 2 minute lap!

It is a long circuit, with undulations, so at certain points you have to look at the tree tops to know you are on line, the chicane hislops is a critical line to get right and druids is also a notorious corner for its double apex and extreme slippy surface, only other corner is cascades as this is adverse camber and you carry a lot of speed down the avenue and over a crest that can unsettle the car, some brake before the crest some after but one thing for sure, it is an easy circuit to learn, I preferred Oulton to CC to be honest.

If your car is as well hooked up as at Bedford I'd expect you to do it in under two minutes. :)

The 370z is quicker than the 350z, and you were noticably quicker than that.

Well I'm looking forward to it but ill be the slow one at the back :)

James, have I missed your paypal for the instructor, or do all those with their names down need to PM you for it?

Richard those who are marked as paid have paid, my paypal was higher up in this thread.

No rush though chap, we are not there until October.

Email for paypal is [email protected]

or you can pay at CC if you wish.

just read this for the first time in a while! lol.... I'll send you some money tomorow James ;)

Thanks Sharky   I have been looking for a caribbean island I can get to for £200 but there are none, so your money is safe and we will have an instructor at OP

Would of love to attend this one as ive missed the deadline for Combe but ill be at Nurburgring

Just get yourself on to Javelin and book it Jane. No deadline for this, only limiting factor is how many cars Javelin will let in, would be good if you can join as the more we have the better IMO

Ill be in Germany from the 4th till 11th but I'd would of loved to

Best circuit in the world ! There's also a track day at Spa on the 8th October which is a 40 min drive from the ring.

Combe is still open with 1 spot I think

Jase, I have been at Oulton Park today for the Gold Cup, the HSCC now has 1980's touring cars allowed in and the lap times are approx 1min 50 also I timed a Lotus Elan 1600 twin cam, it lapped in 2min 05 so I think we have a chance of a good dry lap time on the 8th, especially when you think I was lapping 2.36 in the wet with a standard Fabia MK 2.

If all conditions are good a 1:59 would be a great result but I am not counting my chickens. :)

take the gaffer tape so we can streamline Mongrel to eek out them tenths
