vRS Sidelights

Featured Replies

Hello Peeps,

Brand new on here, and also brand new to Skoda!!

Just purchased myself a MK2 vRS Octavia 2.0 TDi PD. In love with it!!

However, I noticed the sidelights are a minging yellow colour... so, yesterday I attempted to fit a set of white LED sidelights, and it didnt go to plan.

Not only did they not come on properly (came on for about 5 seconds, then went off), the dash reported a 'bulb out' symbol...

Does anybody know what sidelights I can purchase for this car, which are A) White in colour and B) Wont bring up the 'bulb out' sensor on the dash?

Surely somebody else has done this?

Many Thanks,

Jay :bandit:

I agree with Mike.

I had the Philips Blu-vision fitted to my Fab vRS and they looked a hell of a lot better than the standard bulbs.

LED side lights are more hassle than they are worth.

The hassle of replacing them is enough for me to want to change them once and once only!

Agree in 6 months i changed mine 3 times lol, gave up and replaced them with a set of Philips bluevision incandescent bulbs.

Had my canbus friendly led sides in for the last two years with no problems, changing the bulb is a 5 min job when your know what to do. The leds are a good colour match with my xenons

Slightly off topic " Whats the best Main Beam Bulbs when you have Xenons "

Thanks

Another question on this though, I suppose a little related to that of Goldfingers post... Are the Blu-Vision worth getting then for dipped beam bulbs?.. Id need to find out which bulb they are firstly... but, has anybody else put these in?
