I bought the car in March from Newport Skoda (Mon Motors).

 

They originally sold the car to its first owner a 42 year old teacher from Merthyr who part exchanged it for an Octavia.

 

I part exchanged my 61 plate Fabia SE TDi for it on a whim and think the old car was more me (a 44 year old female charity worker)

 

The majority of the miles have been on the motorway and I have seen just over 50mpg on a gentle drive back from Slough. I have pushed the car on a few occasions and can confirm it is quick when you do! I have been careful to ensure the oil temperature is over 60C before pushing on and to let the engine run at low revs after a fast or a motorway run. I also try to make sure I cycle shorter distances.

 

The car is in lovely condition and the only fault I can see on it is that it has a scuffed n/s/r alloy which was there when I bought it.

 

I have not had to add any oil since I purchased it in March 2300 miles). I checked with Skoda and the car has never had any warranty work done.

Documentation to show it was Autoglym coated from new (warranty for this is sadly not transferable)

 

The car needs a wash and I have tonsilitis but will put up pics in a few days when I feel a bit better.

Please note: There is Skoda Finance tied to the car and this will be cleared when the car is sold

 

I may take a VERY cheap part exchange (I'm not a dealer)

How do I tell the difference? I'm guessing it was built late 2011.

 

I asked the previous owner about oil consumption and he said he only ever topped up half a litre in 4700 miles and I haven't needed to top it up in the following 2300 miles

Thanks. It sits on my drive most of the time Josh. I live just off the Llandough end of Redlands Road. I try not to use it on really short trips but you may have seen a fat middle aged woman trying too hard on a bike!

Aha I just bought a bike myself so may see you out on the roads, also I'll be seriously struggling :p
