just spotted this, sorry to see the fate of your car! but just as well you werent in or you could have been hurt, hope insurance sorts you out, I know you wont probably get what you would hope for, but hopefully it will be enough for a similar car/mileage etc.

Latest news is I got the insurance company to settle with me for pre accident value.

 

As a result I have my new car ordered, just awaiting on paperwork to be finalized and all going well i should have it by midweek next week, Give or take a day or two :P

Can't wait to see what it is

The fact that people are not happy with their insurance simply putting things right and try to claim for such stupid things is an indicator of how screwed the world is and the reason why car insurance is more expensive for all than it should be.

What? In all fairness how can this not be stressful?? Firstly being off the road and that fact your pride and joy has been destroyed by an idiot i don't blame the OP for the stressful threats...

 

However, you are lucky the insurance company isn't voiding the insurance because he was drugged!

I can vouch for it being stressful, there is a fair bit of money tied up in a car like that, and when you are having doubts about the other party being insured etc, and the value of your car you have to fight with the insurance to get, so there is no doubt its stressful!

So presumably he was trying to patch up the car so he could scarper? 

Did he communicate with you? He seems very occupied trying to reduce  

how much trouble he is in.

Actually he was very helpful. Handed over his insurance cert. to me so as I could get any info I needed.

Just seen the thread link from the footwell lights thread - what a shame such a nice car gets wrecked with behaviour and driving like that :(
